Hi all,
Myself and a few friends from leicester are interested in giving disc golf a try. We have all played ultimate for a few years, and while we are still interested in the game, we also fancy trying out something new. Is there anywhere where you can just try it out? Any advice would be cool.
Cheers
Dale

Quarry Park is probably the closest course to you. It is a nice course, and pretty beginner friendly.

Apologies for hijacking this thread, but it seemed better to do this than start a new one.
I am looking to start playing a bit of disc golf too, and I live in Dorset, so it seems ideal that the Whitcombe Farm course is fairly nearby - however I can't find any information about whether the course is open to mere mortals such as myself, or whether you have to be an expert, BDGA registered tour player. I can't find any website or phone-numbers for the place - all very mysterious!
Obviously I'm not going to try and play there while a major tournament is on or anything like that.
Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks for the reply.
I had stumbled across that email address for Toby Green before, but I thought he'd be too important/busy to deal with muppety beginners asking if they can play his course. Still, worth a try I guess!
I didn't realise that the tournament was open to beginners - unfortunately I'm not going to be in the country on the 22/23rd July, otherwise I might have given it a go.
Cheers again.
