Yep, seems fair enough. Let's hope we don't get to the point where BMW sponsors an event

Couple of points,
As there is two of us
Couldn't opt out of all the food, (breakfast baps and buffet lunch - that's eight meals I'm paying for that we don't want,
What's a dorm tent? Has it got beds? Is it worth me lugging all my camping gear,
And (Possibly for another topic but it's here)
did I miss the point at which we would get a reduction to the tour if we joined the BDGA as a touring member, I thought that was the benefit of joining ?
But saying all that, if I get payed properly this week we're coming, if I get shorted we won't,
For me and my daughter to play £103,

Nail on the head..bruce wrote:Hi Nick
Your entry fee always includes some level of goods and services, be they green fees, prizes, players packs, portaloo hire etc. Each venue has their own expenses profile and has to budget for that.
It looks to me that Matt has basically had to make the decision that in order to be able to afford to do breakfast & lunch for anyone he has to do it for everyone, so it gets rolled into the fees, which seems fair enough.

I'd forgotten the BDGA discount, I can add £5 and then take it off your entry if you want! And (Possibly for another topic but it's here)

Rob I assure you that no profit is being made by myself as TD, or for yeti disc golf club. Mendip are probably loosing out on a full price paid residential and normal 200-300 people playing disc golf over a weekend. I have already done around 30 hours this week alone working on the tournament for free out of my love for the game. I can cancel you lunch and breakfast if you wish.

Matt, will there be any opportunity to have a go on the slope this year please?

Re: BDGA tour #10 Mendip Masters
Thanks Matt,
Dorm tent question answered, I'll bring mine
Breakfast and lunch if I'm paying for it I'll eat it, normally I'd cook up a big brekkie,
And the BDGA fiver, well exactly..
Im not questioning where the money goes, just where it's gonna come from, if the events stay around the fifty quid margin I'm happy
I know about the hours that get put in to organise events, and the hassle you get from people,
It's a thankless task, but we love it,
So my apologies for the hassle and thanks again for getting back

Re: BDGA tour #10 Mendip Masters
Weather forecast currently suggests rainy on Saturday, decent on Sunday. This means everyone (yes, you) will need more discs (DX type discs for extra grip on Saturday, fast shiny drivers for the 'go big or go home' game plan on Sunday), possibly a new bag, some towels, spare mini, KanJam set, a new Frisbee or three for thrilling games of catch with your friends and a portable target to practice putting during the off season.

Pre order by noon on Thursday and choose 'store pickup' at the checkout. If you would prefer to pay with cash choose 'pay by cheque' at checkout. I will be brining a chunky selection from the CTS Flying Disc Shop. See you all there

I knew I was going wrong somewhere, not adequately marinading my discs...ChrisOBrien wrote:I will be brining a chunky selection from the CTS Flying Disc Shop. See you all there

Re: BDGA tour #10 Mendip Masters
Thanks for a great weekend Matt Really enjoy playing Mendips course - love the variety of holes. Course was in great shape - appreciate the hours of strimming by you and others.
Also great set up in the top field with huge tournament central - plenty of room for everyone to feast on the plentiful lunches! Thanks to Jester and Dan for the music around the fire - reminded me of some of the sing alongs we used to have at Hayling....
Have a good year off and look forward to seeing the next courses you're involved in setting up!
