Registration for the Swiss Open is now possible at
http://www.swissopen.discgolf.ch/home.htm
It is in Geneva, which is very handy for cheap flights from Britain.
It should be a big event as it is a USDGC qualifier, with €4000+ prize money, and Gerard, Boris and the crew put on a very well run event every year. You can also stay cheaply in a dorm right on the course, just a few metres from the 18th basket.

######

While I'm here, a quick reminder about the Dutch Open in Rijkswik just outside The Hague. Travel is easy by plane or car (and probably train too, though I haven't tried). Jesse, Dunc, Rich Hatton and I are going by car and camping at a really cheap place nearby. Charlie Mead is registered too. Would be good to have a few more Brits join us.

the Dutch Open was an absolutely cracking weekend! And the senior Brits Brits took home winning trophies!! Charlie Mead is the Grandmasters Champ and Derek the Masters Champion... Derek played exceptionally all weekend, finally managing to hold off the challenge of Marco Lehouse who moved up this year! Derek would also have placed fifth overall!!

The Open division win went to big arm Swede Markus Kallstrom, defending champ Bert Brader came in Second

The Ams was well and truly bagged by two Frenchies who played 970 golf, Dunc, Jesse and Rich were all reasonably anonymous finshing middle order..... although I am now able to claim that I beat Villie Piipo in a round of golf

Not sure how John Massey got on, didn't see him on the sunday....

Oh and I am now a fan of roullete, had a quick game on the ferry on the way home :D
The Treasurerrer..... hic!

Absolutely great time with a stupid amount of stories of idiocy from all of us over the weekend.

The course was great if incredibly hard (5 double ob's on the first morning round) One hole where Dunc Jesse and I managed two 8's and a nine respectively and I believe Ville Piipo managed an eleven on it on his first round. ( i think he was put off his game after seeing my nearest the pin thmber drive and realising that he just doesn't have my skills!)

I would sincerely recommend to everybody to get over and play an event on thi stour it really was eye opening and great fun. It was fantastic to watch the likes of Markus Kallstron and Bert Brader in the finals and playing my first round with Marco Lehouse was an experience (I didn't know who he was and misread his masters card as advanced am, playing the round thinking he was in the same division as me was pretty intimidating!)

Anyway to all those that haven't yet get on the European tour its Great!!!
