Bruce you seem to be more lacking in masters than gm or is your team list out of date?

Re: European Championships 2012
Also is there an approximate date for finalising the team. I have booked holiday provisionally but unlike my previous job I really need to give a couple of months notice if I want to be sure I can change this so if I won't know by June I'll need to have an alternative plan in place for using that week.
And sorry Charlie but I will really need a holiday by then and whilst playing counts I'm not sure that working on the tournament staff would do it.

Re: European Championships 2012
We have 180 players registered for EC and the field will be full by mid March. Nige Williams and I meet next week to discuss the services we are to provide for the event and a key part of this is to recruit all the staff needed. We already have 8 player-staff and 3 others but are still looking for key staff members.
If you are interested in being part of this huge event then please check out the STAFF page on the website and get in touch with me directly at:
charlie.mead@blueyonder.co.uk
Thanks

Phase 3 Registration - Opens Today
Phase 3 of EC 2012 Registration opens today - so that means that all countries have now finished registering their players and wait only to see if they will receive any Wild cards.
There are 189 players registered from 17 countries with Finland topping the list with an impressive 30. That means there are only 3 Wild Cards left which will be allocated at the end of Phase 3 on April 23rd.
Each National Representative will now pay the Tournament Fee for each player, to guarentee them a place at the Championships. This will be done by April 23rd. Any fees not paid will release further slots for other players after this date - so please pay your NR to make sure your Registration is complete.

Re: European Championships 2012
Great to see the list of players, and I love the facility to order the list by any of the column headings, that's really useful with a long list of players.
Very interesting to see that Hartmut Wahrmann is competing in GM's. One of my arch-rivals from the late 70's to late 90's, a former World Overall Champion and frisbee legend. He may not have a PDGA rating, but will surely be a contender.

Re: European Championships 2012
I agree, really good feature. It would be even better if the player list could be filtered to show only players from a single division, then this could be sorted in the current way (via the headings) to look for specific players by name or to view the division by player rating and get an idea of where you sit in the pool of players.Del wrote:Great to see the list of players, and I love the facility to order the list by any of the column headings, that's really useful with a long list of players.
Keep up the good work.

course layout...
Charlie and all concerned with essex disc golf,
Will we be playing the same course layout as last years bdgaopen for euros this summer? Myself and a couple other croydon players were hoping to get out to essex at some stage in summer and would love to know what course we will be playing so we have a chance to practice on that layout.
Also is there any chance you will be working with the kind folks at essex dgc on the course design so that we could all play the 'euros' course at the essex open at the beginning of august? I think this would give a good opportunity for the uk players to get a bit of practice on the euros course as well as give an opportunity for those not playing europeans to compare there own play against the some of the top european contingent.
I do understand that the course layout may be too different than the usual essex course to work it into the essex open but wanted to put it out there now to see what can be sorted out. What are others opinion on this? Maybe others don't want to play euros course......

Re: European Championships 2012
I absolutely want to play the Euros layout, and it would be daft not to in my view. Every advantage we can give to team GB should be there, otherwise what is the point of having home advantage!
