Registration for EC 2012
Registration for EC 2012 opens on January 9th.
Registration can only be completed by a National Representative (NR)
Each country should nominate a National Representative (NR) and let us know who that will be by January 9th 2012.
Each NR shall register the number of players allocated to that country by PDGA Europe.
Countries can enter any of their eligible players in any division they choose.
After February 20th, any player slots not taken up by NR's shall be offered to other countries according to guidelines established by PDGA Europe.
Wild cards will be available to NR's according to the guidelines set out by PDGA Europe and Event Co-ordinator Charlie mead. These will be deided once the second phase of Registration is complete.
NR's should:
Be the only point of contact between EC 2012 and their players.
All NR's will be given a unique reference for accessing Registration forms and information on their players.
Register all individual players, using the relevant forms on-line after January 9th.
Pay all Tournament fees at the end of phase 2 of registration.
Pay all other outstanding fees, including accommodation options, by the end of Phase 3 of Registration
Liaise with all their players, making sure they read regular updates on the website and are kept informed of any changes or developments.
Be responsible for the conduct and presentation of their team throughout the Registration process and during the Tournament
Be available to the Media and Marketing officer to help promote the event and each country's interests at EC 2012.
We are keen to promote each country's interests, sponsors and supporters leading up to and throughout the Tournament. This could include your own banners, advertising, products and promotions for example.
Please contact Charlie Mead to register your NR for EC 2012. They will then be contacted directly by the web manager and the process of Registration can begin.

Charlie may be amenable to not applying the 'not-staying-on-campus' penalty for Essex based players as it would be a bit harsh otherwise. Drop him an email.
British players should also consider offering some of their time towards staffing, as you can get subsidised accommodation amongst other goodies: full details here: http://www.bdgaopen.co.uk/staff

Re: European Championships 2012
Sophie,
as far as I read it, there is a MINIMUM stay of 4 nights - so you can't chose to pay £115 and then stay just one night for an extra £50. You'll need to pay £315 and then stay up to 4 nights.
Or you pay £165 and get NO accommodation and stay elsewhere.
Although, there is also a list of prices for players staying LESS than 4 nights - so maybe you can pay £115 registration and then an extra £55 for a SINGLE night on campus (see options 8, 9 and 10) for a total of £170. i.e. you get a night's accommodation for £5 more than non-resident players will be paying.
Option Facilities £ ppp night
8 Bed and Breakfast 55
9 Bed, Breakfast, Dinner 70
10 Bed, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner 80

Re: European Championships 2012
As you are aware (above) teams are being selected across Europe and players minds are being sharpened by deciding which options to pay for. There is no specific deal for GB players this year (that was for 2010 Open) but as Bruce has pointed out, if you are playing and willing to dedicate 5 hours a day to staffing then I will reduce your accommodation bill by 50%. (NB:There will be no reduction of the Player Fee if you choose the non-accommodation option).
Please check out the website and the 'Staff' tab for the full details of jobs available.
I am still looking for full time staff as well either for pre-event jobs (design - need you now!) or during the event itself.
Look forward to hearing from you - and if you have a specific offer to make please get in touch.

Charlie,
Bit confused but think I have it right, if we live at home during Championships it will cost £165 with or without assistance given to the tournament ? If we live on campus we can reduce our accomodation costs by 50% if we give 5 hours a day to a job during tourny. Hope I have it right !

Staffing and Costs
Chris and all Essex locals - and any other GB players staying locally for the Championships...
If you are on campus you get a 50% reduction in accommodation costs (so becomes £25 a day B&B - minimum 4 nights) IF you staff for 5 hours a day.
If you are staying locally (not on campus) and NOT staffing it is £165 player fee
If you are staying locally and ARE staffing (5 hours a day) then I will reduce the player fee to the rate of those staying on campus which is £115.
Thanks for asking the question Chris. I had thought this one through but was not sure which locals would qualify or accept invitations until now.
