Latest Ratings for UK players
Re: Latest Ratings for UK players
Really quite pleased with an 8 point jump, all things considered!
Seems I suck at the QP black course though, my 4 worst rated rounds (948, 950, 956, 956) are all on that one!

Woohoo, 33 point jump, over 900 for the first time, to 909!
Going to have to work hard to live up to that!

Re: Latest Ratings for UK players
I just read this entire thread and I cannot find 'how' are ratings are calculated.
I'm at 883 up from 872 I think and a few weeks ago I remember checking and was down to 868...
Is it the last 10 rounds?
That doesn't 'add up' unless they are still including my 981 from Spring Fling but it still doesn't 'add up' and I don't know where to 'cut off'...???
Last 20?
Nope I'm still 6 pts off.
Last year?
Anybody know???
Please and Thank You!

Found it:
http://www.pdga.com/faq/ratings-0
"How is your rating calculated?
All rated rounds you have played and have been reported to the PDGA within 12 months of your most recently rated round will be included in the calculation. However, if any one of those ratings is either more than 100 points below your average rating or more than 2.5 standard deviations below your rating – whichever number is smaller – that round will not be included. That works out to about 1 in 50 rounds getting dropped. Rounds where you DNF (Do Not Finish) are never counted in your rating. The most recent 25% of your rounds get double weighted which slightly boosts your rating if you have been steadily improving. If a player has fewer than 8 rounds in the past 12 months, since their most recent round, then we’ll go back up to another 12 months until we find up to 8 rounds but never go back any farther than a total of 24 months."
My head hurts.

Re: Latest Ratings for UK players
hey now you two, this is a family friendly forum, and also a portal for the public to see the BDGA, I'm not sure this is helpful in terms of projecting the right image for British Disc Golf.

Re: Latest Ratings for UK players
The PDGA Europe site has a much nicer presentation of the ratings data than the main PDGA site:
http://www.pdga-europe.com/players.asp? ... ed+Kingdom
Also all events, with links to results are here:
http://www.pdga-europe.com/eurochalleng ... &Tier=NULL
So I was nosing through the other country's player ratings out of curiosity, when I found I also appear to be the highest rated player in Israel
