Well, I wasn't dead last or last Brit in the Open division but yeah, didn't exactly burn the courses up.

Requirements?

Post by Greenman67 » Fri Sep 11, 2009 6:19 pm

Hi All,

Need some advice please. We are just starting to get into disc golf a bit more. We've played about eight times now, and are thinking about what fun a tourney would be.

What would we need to do in order to play in a tourney? Do we need BDGA/PDGA? It would be for me, my 17 year old son, and my 10 year old son. Would we be able to meet prerequisites before Burnlaw, or is that an invitational?

Sorry for all the goofy questions, but I think it's only fair that we travel around and lose discs on other courses besides just Essex.

Thanks in advance,

Steve

Well it would appear I have just wrangled myself a weekend free pass for Burnlaw, get in.

Now whose going up from my neck of the woods Mr Denny and Dunc, fancy another road trip, I'll even "let" you pull the beer stunt on me on the way up again!

As for your questions Steve, I'm not the best qualified to answer, but I don't believe there are any restrictions on entry and I couldn't think of a better tournament on the tour to get into the spirit and camaraderie of the whole touring side of British Disc golf than Burnlaw. Beautiful course set on a working organic farm with the most lovely welcoming hosts you could hope for. Accomodation ranging from local B an bs for the posher amongst us, to sleeping in the bunk house or main hall floor or camping if you prefer. I would certianly recommend it if you don't mind the 7 hour drive from Essex!

I hope to see the three of you there.

Rhatton,

I think we'll try to put something together. We're actually 2 hours north of Essex anyway so it'll only be a quick 5 hour jaunt to Burnlaw.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm pretty jazzed about going, and I'll see if the boys are interested in making the trip.

Hope to see you up there.
