the metcheck forecast seems to be improving, at least it's not showing sleet on Saturday morning any more.....! :o

I'm planning to get to Leamington Spa or Coventry at about 2pm on Friday. I assume people will be around the course.

Any idea how much a taxi is from Cov (and suggestions of good companies)? The train ticket is £15 less than to Leamington, so I'll happily pay that.
Give a man a driver and he can play disc golf for years.
Give Stewart a disc and he'll lose it the same day!

Stew, there's a bus that goes from right outside Cov train station (on the bridge above the tracks, you will be able to see central six shopping area from it) to the end of old milverton lane, i'm sure theres a stop down there by the roundabout. think its the X17 with stagecoach but you should probably check at the train station or with stagecoach direct

http://www.stagecoachbus.com/timetables ... 5B1%5D.pdf.

Its only a 300 meter walk up the road from there and the bus goes every 15 minutes and costs about 1.60 instead of around a £10er with a taxi. The bus only takes about 20 minutes to get there.

Assuming the work goes well this evening and no one throws a spanner in the works tomorrow I'm hoping I'll get to QP around 4:30 / 5ish :)

See you there!! :D

Apologies to everyone else, but I didn't get Ross' number from anyone.

Ross, please can you give my waterproof to Dave to bring this w/e? Looks like it'll be getting some use. Cheers

Stew, Just read this on the Quarry Park website:

"Ask the driver to let you off at the stop closest to the Warwickshire Hospital".

I don't know how well you remember the way there but you should have got off by a little roundabout, take the third exitwhich goes past the entrance to the hospital. Theres no path but its a farily wide road and people jog and cycle on it all the time.

i would give you a lift but will be too busy at work to get out at two, other people shouldn't be allowed holidays or business trips :x

yeah i've got the bus a few times, pretty easy walk down to the course. If you ring the bell on the bus just after you go past the rugby club (where camping was last year)

I get that bus all the time... the stop you want is called "Blackdown", ask for that and the driver will know where you want to go :)

Ding the bell as the bus goes up the hill towards the roundabout.
