BDGA Tour 2007 Schedule

Post by Jester » Thu Nov 30, 2006 5:39 pm

The first event of the season is confirmed:

Frostbreaker @ Whitcombe 11/12 February

Followed by...

The British Open @ Essex 10/11 March

There haven't been any bids to run the BDGA Doubles Match Play. Its provisional date in the calendar is 24/25 February - any takers?

Jeez, what a whinger! Fine, have it your 'traditional' way, we'll make the tournament 10/11 instead. Happy now?

Thanks to Fernando and Rick for agreeing to host the Doubles Match Play at Essex. This will be a great opportunity for folk to get out there and practice the course ahead of the British Open.

Confirmed events:

Frostbreaker @ Whitcombe 10/11 February
BDGA Doubles Match Play 24/25 February
The British Open @ Essex 10/11 March

That's cool.

Jes* - any chance you could let us know how much longer it will be until the whole calendar is announced?
What with weddings and stuff, it's getting harder to fit everything I need to do into next year, and if I can at least let my other 'alf know when the dates are going to come out, it will be more relaxing for all.
Cheers. 8)

Do you have a piece of string handy?

I'm at the mercy of TDs getting back to me, who are at the mercy of those who run/own/manage the locations we want to use to run our events e.g. St Andrews Uni, Kingsland School, Mull, Whitcombe.

BOOK NO HOLIDAYS. I really mean it. The following is provided simply to satisfy public curiosity. ALL UNCONFIRMED until I advise otherwise:

Burnlaw Snowbow 24/25 March
Quarry Park Spring Fling 14/15 April
Mull 5/6 May
Kingsland 26/27 May or 2/3 June
St Andrews 9/10, 16/17 or 23/24 June
Quarry Park 31 June/1 April
Whitcombe 21/22 or 28/29 July
Crook of Devon 18/19 or 25/26 August
Hayling 1/2 September
Burnlaw Equinox 22/23 September
National Championships 20/21 October

Let me make it clear I do not want anyone contacting TDs to hassle them about dates. There are enough issues to contend with sorting out the shedule without that.

Thank you for you cooperation
