Registration is now open for the 22nd QP Open!

Invite
Registration
Registered players

This will be a PDGA B Tier event, and I'm delighted we will once again be sponsored by Disc Golf UK and Prodiscus. I'm even more delighted to announce we are sponsored by the outstanding disc dying skills of Shaun Lewis!

All Amateur players will receive a Prodiscus disc with a tournament stamp custom dyed by Shaun Lewis (design and examples of his work below), plus mini and stickers. These dyes normally cost £20 each on top of the disc price, so this is an amazing deal!

Shaun is also doing a limited edition run of 20 specials, available for £25 as tournament fundraisers on a 'first come, first served' basis, these can be ordered through the event registration page or direct with me.

23 players already, I cannot even begin to describe how excited I am to announce the return to 'competitive' disc golf of Frank Knutton and Spencer Worth!

Hey Westy.

I expect to fill the event, so I'm afraid it will be full whack or you'll have to be on a waiting list. You do get your entry fee back in players pack anyway, so there's no real wriggle room.

Frank 'The Hat' Knutton
?

I think you'll find that it's Frank 'Snooze Button' Knutton, Jester, if my memory recalls.

There won't be a new clubhouse to show off at the QP Open, but there should be a new 7' x 6' cabin housing a new ecotoilet and urinal.

The old portaloo will still be available for use too.

Do you my eyes decieve me or did I read that Charlie Pickthall has registered for this event?

Is this Charlie 'Pickers' Pickthall of Samurai days? Who went off to Parma in Italy to teach and was barely seen again?

If so - Huzzah!

Would be great to see a kindred spirit again after so many years.

There's just a dozen or so places left, so if you want to play and have not registered, you need to get your name down quickly. I now have Emily and Nathan working with me, and the course should be in great condition for the tournament. There won't be a new clubhouse to show off, but there will be a new shed housing an ecotoilet. This should be an improvement on the porta-loo, but we will keep the latter for tournament use.

Is there a map available that shows blue/ black holes being played or will it be readily available on the course for Friday practice?

There is a big map printed in the shop at the course, otherwise there have been maps uploaded to facebook which I cannot transfer here

Will normal options be available for OB or are there special exemptions in place and if so why?

Drop zones for OB drives on Black 5 & 6, waivers all sorted. All other OB as normal.

The forecast for the weekend is looking good, so I'm sure people will be up for some night golf, and Nite Ize are sending me some demo discs for people to try out.
http://www.niteize.com/product/Flashfli ... In-One.asp

We have a brand new ecotoilet installed in its own shed at the side of the 18th green. It has high and low level urinals as well as the seated option. The seated option is designed to only to be used when sitting down, as its function is dependent on keeping liquid and solid waste separate. So please dispose of loo paper in the rear section while seated. The porta-loo was serviced yesterday and will also be available for the tournament.
