British Nationals?

Post by Jaxsky » Tue Aug 11, 2015 10:34 am

Morning all,

Apologies if this is a stupid question....

I was just wondering if there was a British Nationals at the end of each season?

I can see the matchplay competition but couldn't find anything in relation to a big British Nationals competition?

I've just started out and would love the opportunity to come and watch some national disc golf.

A beginner friend and myself are aiming on playing the QP tour event which I know will be a really fantastic experience.

Thanks
Adz

Hi Adz,

The Matchplay event and the nationals are one and the same. The top 16 compete in the Nationals match play event and alongside that is the Not the top 16 competition.

This year the Nationals event will be held at Mount Edgecombe in Plymouth on weekend of 24/25th October.

I thought we agreed never to mention that again.

Sounds like it is worth sharing?!

Also another silly question, why does the format change for this one event?

It signifies the end of the tour in the UK and allows the top 16 finishers to battle it out between each other

It is also the time when the BDGA holds the AGM, reviewing the year and planning ahead

Ah ok thanks Mark.

Is the 'Not the top 16' event well attended? Seems like it would be.
