Re: BDGA #9 Burnlaw 'Pigs Will Fly' Open 12-13th September
For news, updates and the insiders view on the upcoming BDGA national tournament 'Pigs Will Fly' Open at Burnlaw and future Disc Golf news and events I recommend you join the Burnlaw Disc Golf Collective Facebook group. Burnlaw is an organic blissful Farm in an 'area of outstanding natural beauty' in the north Pennines, Northumberland. Not too far from the A1 or M6. The tournament takes place on 12-13th September. Registration has been open for a couple of weeks yet still some sweet digs available in this unique hamlet, right in the middle of the course! The course is evolving and maturing to demand even more power, control and a zen like technical touch.
Join the collective!
I will continue to use this thread for key info about the event. I just hope and pray for weather forecasts to be posted here, Pete Black where are you?

Major calendar software fault discovered.
Consequences of which meant I was planning for Burnlaw on the 19th-20th Sept!
Apologies to organisers.

Re: BDGA #9 Burnlaw 'Pigs Will Fly' Open 12-13th September
BOF, You were missed. We all thought it must have been critical - so am glad it was only a software problem!
Not sure of all details but James won Open by three from Chris O'Brien. Si Luard was third I believe.
I won Masters from Trevor, Garry and Tim Foxall
Dan Brown took Ad Am's
Pat Luke won Int Am's and took longest drive (V LONG WAY)
Emily won women's
Charlie O'B won Juniors and prize for being brave enough to wear pink boots!!
James also voted Spirit due to a mammoth washing up stretch after curry on Saturday night -
Overall Stroud did Proud, QP the Place to Be, Devon in Heaven and not an American in Sight!!

The yanks may have stayed away but it didn't stop them winning.
With the result of the Adv Ams the way it was, Sy Spencer has now secured the Am title

Re: BDGA #9 Burnlaw 'Pigs Will Fly' Open 12-13th September
Results and Powerstats from Burnlaw? Would be good to get them out asap esp for us Masters as I think there are three of us who can take the title and another few who can influence the result at QP.

Re: BDGA #9 Burnlaw 'Pigs Will Fly' Open 12-13th September
Thanks for the summary, Charlie.
Hopefully I'll have had the IT engineers upgrade the faulty software module in time for QP to ensure that I turn up on the right day!
Looking forward to another attempt at taming the QP woods...

Re: BDGA #9 Burnlaw 'Pigs Will Fly' Open 12-13th September
Table will look something like this
Top 5
Johnny M 385.86
Ivan B 375.96
Charlie M 287.63
Sue U 226.04
Conor D 190.10
Meaning that unless around 20 masters show up to QP (second place therefore scoring roughly 95 and allowing a second place finish to still win the tour) Johnny, Ivan or Charlie will win the masters tour if they show up and win at QP
Further investigation suggests if 10/11 masters compete, a second place would allow only Johnny to win the title with a second place finish at QP
