Many thanks to Matt and all the helpers at Mendip on another great event. I really enjoyed coming and playing there again, and look forward to coming back next year.

The course had several improvements on last year, there are a few things I noticed that might be in the mix for next year:

#2 Removing the branch 2/3's of the way to the basket that's currently blocking the direct line would reward good drives that take on the narrow window off the tee with a birdie putt.

#9 One of my favourite holes on the course. Just need someone taller to trim the branches directly above the tee please! They were still low enough to impede the view of the drive.

#10 With the young tree blocking the route down the obvious fairway, I don't understand the tee position. There is too little reward for going for what's left of the fairway, so that leaves throwing a big hyzer down the road and hoping for the best as it cuts through the side of the trees. Not particularly satisfying. I think either the tree needs a hefty pruning, or the tee/basket are in the wrong place.

#13 I know some thought this was unnecessarily lengthened, but I think the new tee position has made it a much better par 4 than it was a par 3. Please keep it as a par 4!

#14 I'm not a fan of this blind-over-the-wall tees hot at all, and TBH I didn't hear a lot of love for this hole all weekend. Perhaps if you play there regularly and get a chance to figure it out it becomes fun, but it's tough to turn up and play and enjoy such a random challenge. how about moving the tee forwards towards the wall, or over it, in order to bring the green into view?

Completely agree with Jester regarding hole #14. I think if the tee was positioned just over the fence then it would give a tricky flick down the alley of trees with a very treacherous green.

It appears that I may have left my Mendl Grey Hiking Boots at Mendip a few weeks back - size 12/13 - possibly in the car park between the club house and camping. Matt or anyone else - if they were found could you let me know.

Thanks
