BDGA#3 - Isle Of Mull Classic 4th/5th April 2015

Post by Charlie Mead » Tue Nov 11, 2014 9:59 pm

The full invitation for Mull will be out soon - but just a heads up for you all.

The tournament will be over the Easter weekend of April 4th and 5th 2015 so get your accommodation sorted as soon as possible so that you are not disappointed. The Bunkhouse in Dervaig will be available again as will the hall if there are enough takers but if you want B&B or self catering then I STRONGLY SUGGEST that you book now.

Northern Flights.

Post by Charlie Mead » Wed Nov 12, 2014 9:21 pm

This year the Isle of Mull Classic is teaming up with Seamus Scanlon's Loch Tay Disc Golf Championship to make up the Northern Flights!
Thanks to Garry Villiers-Stuart and Burnlaw for the past few years.

Loch Tay will be on the weekend of April11th/12th so you have 5 days to get there from Mull - and what a trip that could be!

Plan now!

Best launch of any Mull event ever - already up to 10 players in less than 12 hours - and still have 5 months to the tournament!

Registered.

Reckon I'll be playing Masters on the Tour next year but down as Adv Am for now.

Got the whole family coming, Jessica may register for Female Juniors nearer the time.

Hello,

Is anyone driving down to Glasgow on Sunday evening or Monday and could give me a lift? Or can someone find out the depature time of the public coach?
Last flight depatures Mon 15:55, which I would need to catch... Can someone help me make it happen? :)

Registration and fees for Mull

Post by Charlie Mead » Tue Feb 17, 2015 10:04 pm

Dear All Players -

Please register for Mull if you have not done so already; we are in the last stage of planning and need to confirm numbers for lunches etc as soon as possible.

Also, if you have registered but not paid can you do so as soon as possible. Details are on the invite but simplest way to pay is by PayPal to my email address - charlie.mead01@gmail.com

Thanks very much - hope you are all looking forward to it!!

Sorry if this is an obvious question but there is no Master division option on the registration form. Will this be offered if there is enough numbers?

Masters Division is optional to anyone over 40 for which there is a trophy and points on the Tour. Trevor, you are registered for Masters. There are 5 of us oldies in there now so it is competitive!

Looking forward to playing golf with you again - been a while!

I have decided to play in Mull this year - seems the sheep are being highly co-operative and not due until April 12th at the earliest. So, if anyone who lives from Devon to Oban in the M5/M6/A74 corridor wants a lift and/or can share the driving/fuel then please get in touch. Will be leaving Devon on Weds 1st April with trailer with mats and all the hardware and would be great to have company....

....might tempt you to Mull if you have not made your mind up yet?

We have 38 registered players so far and that does not include Islanders!

Updated players list, its shaping up to be a big one! Keep in mind no islanders register before the start (typical) so we've got some big dogs in the Ams still to be added to the field. Its gonna be great.

That's a little outside my budget, would you be willing to accept an I.O.U?

OK,

So anyone who came last year will most likely remember that the Bellachroy had come under new ownership and due to the fact that they are terrible people they don't serve food on Easter sunday (Like, who even are they?). In any case we decided on the sunday to have a BBQ at the bunkhouse. Charlie has even offered to bring up a big BBQ with him as i know the one last year wasn't the easiest to use what with being quite small. So i'm suggesting we do that for food on sunday evening, hoping the weather is nice! My advice would be to pick food up for it when you got to the island as you may not have time after rounds/at lunch. However in a worst case scenario i can extend lunch on one of the days to allow people to get food but it would really be preferable if you could all get food beforehand. If people who are in for this could let me know it would be great to have an idea of numbers.
Cheers guys x

Hi James,

Alison and I are staying nearby this time so we'll be up for that. Although, you probably want to wait until some less boring people agree to go before going-ahead with it ! ;)

Yep, we're up for that (also staying nearby). For numbers, that's me, Emma, Jessica and one set of grandparents. Making a family weekend out of it. :D

Hi,

I'd be at a BBQ on sunday. Making a familytrip, so wife and 2 girls might also be interested.

That is enough for me to load the Barbie on the trailer. Gas fired so will be an instant hit!! Will be at least 12 of us but if you would like to join the party would be good to let James know. Leaving in 9 days for the long haul north - and still looking for anyone who wants to share the driving?

Can pick you up anywhere off M5. M6, A74 and points Scottish!!
