The Essex OPen 2013 will be 3 rounds of at least 18 holes... and a 9 hole final,
There will be at least 8 rounds of the Ring of Fire followd by an MTA and KanJam Comp (thanks to catch the spirit for supplying the Kans) with prizes for the top 3 in MTA and the finalists in the KJ after the second round on Saturday

There will be the usual high standard of prizes with tropheys for 1st to 3rd in each division and prizes for all who make the finals plus spirit of the game, longest drive, putt and closest to the pin.

Mr Cardwell is working hard on this years disc design and although he is keeping it a closely guarded secret, Essex`s new mascot Nugbot will be making a return. Once the design is complete we will put out a post regarding T`s hoodies and if anyone wants extra Essex stamped discs (£8 each).

This years discs will be Forces, Nukes, Buzz`s and Hornets all Z plastic, (if 45 or more are signed up b4 our disc order date mid April, i`ll get an extra 25 discs for prizes and i`ll put a vote on the Facebook page)

So sign up (no need for payment until closer to the date)

if we dont have 45 players by mid April i may have to limit the player pack discs to the first 50 players to sign up.

Quick question, I've signed up and would also like two additional discs (ESP Buzz and ESP Nuke). I have posted the additional disc requirement on the Essex FB page, but not sure if this is the right place to make my wishes known? Do I roll up the payment for the extra discs with the tournament payment or do I make payment separately?

Really nice stamp design and looking forward to it.

Thanks.

Hi Paul, can't make the tournament but would like a flydye Hornet which you could probably pass on via Del if that is okay?

...also it looks like the Uni moved one basket and planted another one so Coop may be shaking up the layout a bit, just two completely different holes but really nice and I can't wait to see and play them next week.

I've got the family cottage booked for the weekend of Essex currently it's me Gary and Sian (and maybe Charlie) so depending on this we have 1-2 spare beds and a fair amount of floor space if needed plus room for tents on the field. Let me know if anyone needs somewhere to stay. About 15-20mins from the course+ super cheap for the weekend.

Oh yeah if you wanted nice camping near the course.

Bristol crew will be staying at deans in elmstead about 10-15 min drive from the course. It's a lovely little camp site at the back of a little garden centre which is owned by friends of friends.

KANJAM TOURNAMENT

TD Paul Cooper has decided that the KanJam tournament will be played by the official rules. Please take a few minutes to read through them if you're playing:
http://www.kanjam.com/Files/HowToPlay/KanJamRules.pdf

And, instead of the official KanJam discs or Ultra-Stars it has been decided that Superdiscs shall used.

18 teams :)

Any chance of a map, or hole changes description?
Should be playing Friday pm, and it'd be nice to know I was practicing the proper holes.
