Is there a 2013 British Open on the cards?
(and is there any plan for Performance Flight USDGC qualification?)

I was going to post pretty much the same questions as Chris regarding British Open and USDGC, and hopefully Bruce/Phil are working on this. I would just add that while it would be quite neat to tie the latter to the former, I think it is more important to sort out the USDGC spot reasonably early in the season. I've a feeling that I have made these points before in a forum post or e-mail, or conversation with Bruce, but I'll plonkthe comments here anyway. There are probably not too many people who have the time/money/inclination to make the trip to USDGC, so I think it would be good to get people to declare their interest by a set date - maybe some time in April. If there's only 1 person wanting the spot then allocate it there and then, so that leave can be booked, money put aside, and flights booked etc. If there's more than one applicant then make arrangements for the spot to be allocated by end of June at the latest, allowing at least 3 clear months for the lucky person to plan their trip.

Re: BDGA Tour 2013, Membership query?

Post by BOF » Fri Apr 12, 2013 6:10 pm

Hi,
I don't seem to exist in the PDGA ratings list any more.
I don't recall letting my membership slip but neither do I recall being asked for payment by whoever is in charge of renewing BDGA/PDGA memberships.
Can anyone help, please, since I want to be eligible for BDGA tournaments and have a shot at the Performance Ranking Thing at the Open this year.
Slightly worried.

PMed.

Any other players reading this please note that you need to fill in a renewal form http://www.bdga.org.uk/join-the-bdga each year so that I have the details I need to process your membership.

If you're not already expired, you will be next year...

Yep, the players who took out 5-year deals expire at the end of this year (2013).

You can sign up to 5 year deals any time, which protects you against future price rises (usually from the PDGA)
