Matt,
Is there an update on number of players attending the Tour bit of the event. Is it just BDGA members from the mainland or is there a number of Irish players too?

Thanks

What accomodating options are people taking? Is the hostel option still available? Anyone doing the B&B?

I have gone ahead and booked the hostel for Friday and Saturday night, anyone who wants to stay there can.

The accommodation comprises 5 bunkrooms: No 1 sleeps 10 people, No 2 sleeps 4, No 3 sleeps 8, No 4 and No 5 sleep 2 each. Pillows are provided, but each person must provide own a pillow case, sleeping bag and towel.

The facilities include a large sitting/tv room, dining/common room, equipped kitchen with laundry facilities, conservatory with table tennis and pool table, male/female shower rooms, garden and ample car parking. Situated 5 mins walk from village centre, 10 mins walk to Kilbroney Park, 15 mins walk to first tee.

Cost should be about £12 pp per night, but a minimum of £150 per night applies, so could be more if 11 or fewer make use of it for the 2 nights.

Please email me your name/s and first choice of the available accommodation.

You can give me a call on 07739210119 if you need any more info.

Thanks for booking the hostel, Gary. I decided to go for that option based on it being the place I thought everyone else was going to stay and the £12pn rate. If it turns out there are very few people staying there pushing the cost up, I'd rather just go B&B.

C'mon, players. Get your finger out and commit to something. Who's up for staying at the hostel? If it's not an option Gary'll need to know if he's going to cancel the booking or not. I'm not paying £120pn to have the hostel to myself!

Matt, if there really are only three of us interested in the hostel option then that's £50 a night each. Even at half that cost it's questionable value when compared with B&B.

I've asked who else is interested in the hostel option but no one else has put their hand up. I'm really keen for this to work and will happily be part of a big group if we're all in it together to keep costs down, however if this (a big group) is not going to happen however we need confirmation now (by Friday this week) so we can explore other options. (As an aside I've never really understood why we had to have the whole hostel booked and not just a room or rooms in it? Could that be an option?)

I'm on for the hostel, and presumably Gary and Sian are still on for it too. That would make 6. Still need a few more really, or as jester says, can we not just have a room or 2 rather than the whole place?
