Dark Mavis fails to live up to the trash talk here and falls from 1st to 3rd in the final. Tweedy wins again for 400 Am points and promptly moves up to Open! Paul McC 2nd, Rich Wood 4th and Mark Fleetham 5th.

The Essex Open was one of 35 PDGA sanctioned events held last weekend, and one of only 2 that have not posted the results. :(

Given the guidelines allow up to one month, it seems a little churlish to complain 2 days later. When I get the results I'll post them.

For one, I can see them. For two, hold on while I fire up the old telepathic link I have direct to Chuck Kennedy

Thanks Bruce, as ever your efforts are appreciated just not always expressed.

So Del needs to win the last two events in order to have any chance of retaining his title and depending on the size of fields even that might not be enough anyway, what a fantastic season in the open division!

Congrats Tweedy at wrapping up the ams already, earliest in the season in a long time, now go and kick over the apple cart in the big boys division

I wasn't being churlish, but apologies if it seemed that way, I was disappointed more than critical. The Essex Club put on a great event with loads of big positives and seemed to have the resources to put that last piece of the jig-saw in place quickly. We know it can be done, as Bruce has uploaded results within hours. I assumed that Paul or one of his team would have access to do this themselves, rather than have the file exchange trail with Bruce that inevitably takes time. Presumably there are good reasons for routing results via Bruce, but I'd imagine all those other events did the PDGA upload themselves.
I personally was not in any hurry to see my stats, ratings or points etc. What I wanted to do was write up a short piece for the QP website, and news goes stale, so time is of the essence. So my article was low on specifics, I guessed wrong about Phil Sumner's finishing position, and I'll have to go back in and add the link to the results. No big deal. Anybody who has perused the QP website will know that there is much that needs updating
Anyway, great job Paul and the Essex crew!! Thanks for all your efforts Bruce. Congrats Jester. Over and out!

Mostly because I'm efficient and get it done. Croydon are the only event this year to have done their own I think, other than QP which was me in any case.

Mostly because I *edit* spend all day "working" from home, and can fit it in between bouts of Bejewelled Blitz, reading various websites and persuading my employees I actually am really important to them whilst kicking back beer in hand and can therefore *edit* get it done. one typo in there Bruce, don't worry though I've edited it for you.....

You only think I play Bejewelled all day because I keep thrashing you. In truth it doesn't take very long to do that...
