Jester won't be happy if he misses the start of Scotland v England at 5.
He probably won't be happy if he sees the whole game :P

As mentioned already it would be really helpful to see the course notes and OBs up here for questions prior to Saturday morning.
Apart from that the invite says 930am tee off and I know there are people coming down on Sat morning. Maybe a rein in on the monster holes!

Er, yeah, hang on - I'm driving down Saturday morning and aiming for the (players' meeting before the) 9.30 tee-off that the invite specifies...

This is my first ever disc golf tournament! I take it everyone's really nice? Is anyone else getting in at 20.50 that I could taxi/lift share with at all? x

Hey new fella - yeah, everyone is really friendly. :)

Looks like you're on the same train as Ali and I so you should join our cab share to the course (unless a lift if possible from anyone?).

PM me your mobile please so we can arrange things.

It's amazing the sort of fish you can catch with the right bait! Pansyenuse? You're a couple of months early Dan! :)

there are some people on this forum who would have taken our ideas 'hook, line & sinker'!

but alas - i'm not helping out with planning / running the event - shame as i love planning the new holes

so I'm just down for a days play with matt & two juniors! (one mine and one borrowed)

we may bring sleeping bags incase the snow keeps us there!

see you on the course (we're cutting our arrival time very fine!)

I'm sure it'll be a close variation of the standard FB 18, which will be some help to some and no help to others!

isn't it bliss to be offline for a day or two? missed all this exciting chatter and now, with most of you on your way and therefore offline, you'll not know that we're playing the same course as last year, but with two changes:

Goolalong is unplayable (well, to be more honest I couldn't be arsed to start hacking holly trees etc) so you'll be playing Googlagong instead. (yup, that means yomping up the hill, just to come down again, but, you're worth it.

Paddock usually means teeing off from beside the Frisbee hut. Two problems, both linked to the horses. Firstly, the horses have cut up the ground and, with everything being somewhat frosty-firm, I can see many ankle-turning divots taking a toll. Secondly, the horses were particularly frisky today and probably best if we don't try and play tag-ultimate-golf with them. So, the tee is now in the Summer House garden. Yes, a shorter hole for a change - but it is still delightfully challenging, especially if you're right-handed and haven't mastered the roll-curve.

same OB rules as last year - i.e. there is no OB anywhere, except the pheasant pen and the boundary. Simples (at least it ought to be).

Good luck all. Sorry I can't make it this year. Someone find some St George bunting for the summer house!

Ah wish I could be making it too. long old trip from canada!

I have put together an associate BDGA membership form see the related discussion here for background viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1321

obviously most of the players at frostbreaker will be full BDGA members, or at least should be, or will be once they renew! However could someone with a laptop/ipad or similar type device corner any new players who aren't bdga members (try pursuade them to become full members first!) to complete the associate member form.

http://goo.gl/THqcg

I expect Toby will have enough to do as TD, tom lowes will be busy processing renewals of full bdga members. Could someone step up to do this in my absence? I will be back for croydon and will be all over it then.

have a great frostbreaker

cheers

Matt,

I don't think anyone got this message in time, but looking around at the players there, I was pretty sure that most, if not all, were already BDGA members - I think all the new players there had already signed up with me.

PowerStats & AmStats updated. Awaiting the password for uploading to the PDGA site for ratings, will update when I get it.

Thanks to Toby and the cooking team for a great Frostbreaker, and congrats to Jester, Dave and Nick for their respective wins :)

Should I be looking elsewhere in this forum for the results (round scores etc.)?
(I assume the Powerstats/Amstats were based on the results this weekend?!!!)

Thanks
