Hi all,

So after my earlybird offer next on my drive to make the bristol open the best attended tour event of 2012 I am putting up a 50 pound voucher for catchthespirit.co.uk/shop for the registered player with the most referrals of other players.

On the google form from today there is a question asking; "player who referred you to come to the tournament? * please enter the name of the player who told you about the tournament and persuaded you to enter"

The player with the most referrals will win the voucher!

Many thanks

Course for 2012....

no major changes planned just a few tweaks;

hole 14 basket the other side of the pond and tee 15m closer to the gap, hopefully less chicken layouts- get close to or through the gap from the tee or your looking at 85m over water......

Image

hole 16 mando to right side on the drive removed

Image

hole 17 all mandos removed

although having said that they have cleared all the shrub between the tee and the hole so there is a RH hyzer route and low straight route, I'll take some pics this afternoon and post them.

I'll get signed up this weekend Matt. Are there any cheap rates avaiable for unwaged students? I'd like to bring Mike along with me, but he barely has 2 pennys to rub together. Please let me know and I can sort something out.

Thanks for some of the hole layouts Matt, but is there any chance of the entire course map and hole layout being posted before the event? :)

the 10 hole course map and diagrams are always available on the bristol disc golf webpage;

http://bristoldiscgolfclub.blogspot.co. ... court.html

I will post the full 18 tournament course in a bit, although not 100% confirmed due to potential issues with hay growth etc but don't fear the course is looking lovely and playing super nice.

the wild garlic is in full flow and the bluebells will be out soon!

steve you can let mike know he owes steve kornmuller a few drinks next time he sees him. Steve can no longer make it due to family commitments and is happy to transfer his entry over to mike. so all he needs to cover is £5 for camping and tournament fees, ace pot, and lunch is taken care of!

Thanks Matt looks good. I assume if we only have the 10 holes each round will be a 20hole/go round twice setup?

Hi all,

For some reason my google form has a gremlin as your answers for camping are not showing up in the spreadsheet. I have figured out a few people's responses from conversations I have with you about hotel bookings etc or from how much you have paid. It would be very helpful if you could all reply BY EMAIL bristoldiscgolf (at) yahoo.co.uk your answer just to confirm.

fri and sat camping,
sat only,
no camping

camping is £5 per night

I will be contacting you all again in the next couple of days with any outstanding payments due. Please note it will be a pre-pay event so please check your email many thanks. (for those traveling from overseas - cash payment on arrival is accepted to avoid large bank fees for all others paypal or bank transfer is required before Tuesday the 24th of April)

Many thanks

Please note places are filling fast!

I played a round this morning and the grass is getting long in smyth field (8 temp holes in field used for hay growth) this may mean a 15 hole course in the top field (mowed) this will limit the field to 60 instead of original 72, 46 already registered so get on board to avoid disappointment!

if 15 holes are played we'll play 3x15 on sat and 2x15 on sunday.

I'll upload some photos I took this morning of "new" holes which will make up "the hay 15" still a fantastic course! :D

lets all hope for some cold dry weather in the next 2 weeks to limit the grass growth!

Five rounds of 15 over the weekend, sounds good to me! :-)

More rounds to make my rating drop ;-)
