RE: Pitch & Putt and Bruce's comments...

Having been through the 'local council does Pitch & Putt' experience, where they completely refused to listen to any of Chris O'Brien's suggestions and did absolutely nothing to market or promote the course, despite several communications from me listing many possible groups that would be interested, the only way to expand is the decent-size course a-la Croydon, OR a Pitch & Putt with appropriate publicity.
The council were a little surprised last year when not so many people had paid to play, when I pointed out that perhaps even a SIGN in the park might be a start at advertising the presence of the course...!
Furthermore, I think there has been a lot of local grumbling from the NIMBYs who think the whole thing is an eyesore and a waste of public funds - however, the council have just built a huge concrete skate park next to the course so that the youth have got somewhere to congregate each night, and they aren't charging a penny for that but are charging for the Disc Golf- go figure....
<end of rambling, bumbling thoughts>

Good reply.

"Go forth and multiply" is a bit rude though :wink:
