Round at essex before the BO...

Post by Dan » Tue Jun 28, 2011 3:15 pm

Just wondering if anyone fancied a trip to Essex for a bit of practice before the British open.

Personally I have never been there so would love to see it before hand and as there are no tourneys for a while maybe we could get a few people out there one saturday.

Obviously people who aren't playing the open should still consider it because it's a chance to play a different course which is always fun!

Hi Dan,

Lately we have been doing Handicap at 2pm on random Saturdays.

We are playing this Saturday the 9th if you fancy seeing the 'local routes'.
Then we are deciding which is better for attendance on either the 23rd or the 30th July.
We definitely will be having them the week before the BDGO and after on 13 Aug and 27 Aug as well.

It's £2, one for prizes and one for the Ace Pool which currently is £20 and waiting to be won.

Hope this helps and we'll keep an eye out for you.

Talked with Tim Herring and a lot of holes will have alternate tees plus some new holes as well for the BDGO.

You are of course welcome to come though and hopefully I'll have something for Phil the next time we play on Saturday 23 July @2pm.
