We'll be using four new courses in this years tour, feel free to ask any questions but here is the scoop so far.

Loch Tay is going from a 9 hole to 18 hole course very shortly. Since the course is so new the tees will most likely still be dirt, currently they have 9 DB-5 baskets (new baskets TBD) with the course playing similar to Quarry park, not as refined as QP but the there is a resemblance. The grounds of this resort overlooking Loch Tay are stunning and the facilities are first class.

Ace Adventures in Auchnaigairn is a 9 hole course set on the grounds of Ace Adventures Outdoor activity center near Inverness. This is a fast developing wooded course with varied and steep terrain. Jim Davis the owner is likely to evolve this course quickly, stay tuned. He is also adding £50 to the Open purse for his event in May. Their 9 baskets are from Dunbar via Quarry park.

Craggan Outdoors in Grantown-on-Spey is disc golf gold. This disc golf course will be built on their existing golf course. The course is open(ish), well maintained with varied terrain and very easy on the eye. This course will start with 9 holes and share tees and fairways with the golf course. To see the what the course will look like check out the photos of their golf course on the Craggan Outdoors website.
The Craggan and Ace Adventures Open will be held on the same weekend at the end of May Tbd.

The Hermitage in Edinburgh will be an 18 hole disc golf course set in the Braid Hills over looking the city. This course will be roughly 6000', have dramatic elevation change and be open to the wind and weather. We plan to break ground in February and host our 1st event (Vibram Birdie Bash) at the end of April/beginning of May. Delays are likely in the construction of this course due to our involvement with a larger renovation project.

Creiff Hydro is being reestablished with a new course design as well but will likely stay a 9 hole wooded course with cement paver tee pads.

If you are traveling to the area next year and would like an update please feel free to get in touch anytime.

Loch Monzievaird has confirmed for 5th July 2015.
We'll be playing 2 rounds of nine at Creiff Hydro then finish with 2 rounds of nine at Loch Monzievaird, should be a fun day of disc golf, I will Co-TD both, Pdga C-Tier.

Would the Moderator please move this thread to regional tours, Cheers.

Hey Seamus. Looks like a great set of competitions and I'll be there for the BO at Loch Tay as well as my 2nd visit to Dunbar for March's BDGA event. It's a shame the Edinburgh event is in October though as it sounds like it'll be a great course but QP is the weekend before and it looks like the Nationals will be a couple of weeks after. Ah well, maybe next year :)

Hi Seamus. Just to ask the question mate, what constitutes "signing up for the Quaich Tour"? I'll be entering 2 of the events so does that qualify me for one of these?

p.s. They're really cool btw so please say "Yeah man, of course you do!" :D

Sorry Matt, to be honest I didn't notice  . The Moray Open is a first year event in an emerging area, I doubt there will be any impact on Mendips, but we'll be more careful next year. Luckily there is 560+ miles between these events, I'd bet there are tournaments closer to you in mainland Europe.

I think its pretty exciting that the sport is growing, two Pdga C-Tier 2 day events in the UK on the same weekend! its bound to happen more and more often now, soon it will be unavoidable.

Any player that attended The Battle at Bluebell Woods has 10 days to sign up to acquire any earned points. I'll post Tour standings in 11 days.
If you are attending The Scottish Open#2 or Loch Tay Open#3 and are interested in participating in The Quaich Tour please sign up before the start of the event to earn points.

I had the privilege of playing the inaugural round of disc golf at Craggan Outdoors today. It is disc golf gold, built on a 14 hole ball golf course. The course is very challenging but a fair par 27 at at 3426 feet, 1044 meters, I would imagine the set up is between a Pdga Blue and Gold rated par system. The course boasts long open drives down varied sloping golf fairways followed by long upshots, there is plenty of water too. Its too hard for an emerging market course but the owner is going to leave the current set up until after The Moray Open at the end of May, then tame that beast for the summer by either adding shorter tees and/or moving baskets. E2 Pro Lat64 baskets and pounded quarry dust tee pads make this course an instant classic.

If any of the folks playing Mull want a worthy disc golf day trip between events, consider playing the Craggan and Ace Adventures courses.
It is a 2 hour drive (google maps) to Craggan Outdoors from Loch Tay and another 20 minutes further to Ace Adventures base camp, both are great courses worth the day trip.

The Moray Open (23rd & 24th May) is now a B-Tier on the Pro side for those who may be inclined to join us.
Jim Davis (Ace Adventures) is the driving force of this event and has extended his course to 18 holes, adding a 3k foot "Outback 9" as well as the financial support to host a B-Tier.
Give them a 'like' on Facebook to aid this emerging area for our sport. Cheers

I will not apologize for such a pernickety post. :)

Hello,
fyi, the remainder of the Quiach Tour dates and venues......
Sept 12th The Rubber Biscuit returns to Dunbar - http://www.rebootdiscgolf.com/12th-sept ... t-qt8.html
October 3rd The UK University Disc Golf Championships venue has moved to The Hermitage of the Braids in Edinburgh
http://www.rebootdiscgolf.com/vibram-pr ... tober.html
October 24th Tayfest at Loch Tay - Season ender, info to follow. Pdga C-Tier

I realize these dates are occupied by Bdga events but this schedule conflict was unavoidable.
Plus moving our dates by one week before or after would not change attendance at either events. I hope some players will still travel from Scotland to England to support the remainder of the Bdga Tour, others may not, having choice grows the sport for us all.
Best of luck with all your events I hope they fill.
Cheers

Lucky for us they have decided to keep and restructure the course at St. Andrews, ready for next years University Championships. The asst TD will be a student from St Andrews keen to push forward the improvements.
Sky needs a doubles partner, got it.
