Who would you put with who to make the matchups decent then?[/quote]

Why do we need a redraw?

Eh? You just asked 'Who would you put with who to make the matchups decent?'. We don't pick and choose who to play, we draw the matches randomly. Have a word with Sam offline to sort this out.

Jester we had sorted this out already. I was asking Andrews opinion on what to do with the matchups .

A redraw won't solve anything as we will still have the same pairs and then the mismatch in numbers.

Isn't that a bit nuts as there is a threesome kicking around....
Why have a 1 against 2 and a 3 against 3, when you can have a proper pair and a 2 against 3.....?!?
Or are you just showing off :?
i think essex have +1

Been at work (shock horror!) so missed all this...

One of the Phils or Lloyd...!

But probably Lloyd, being the least experienced player, would benefit most from your experience (and discs!)
And As previously commented Phil and Phil won't have any problem playing decently as a pair.

Although having looked back at the thread I'd agree with Jester that you can't rejigg the teams after the draw, as you then know who they will be playing.
Except to replace dropouts, so you should still be paired with Geoff, and Jesse should be paired with one of the current threesome, possibly Jesses choice, or a fairer way might be to randomly draw from the three to see who pairs with Jesse.

But it's up to you and Sam, as captains.

See you all Saturday morning, if I don't fall asleep on the way......

There are a whole series of events that your aren't aware of Andrew . But firstly , the first rule of the Hyzer cup is you don't agree with the opposition especially JESTER!!!

Anyway , myself and Sam have spent weeks trying to sort all of this out and come up with the best possible team for Croydon and QP . Its taken a lot of time and effort . The team was totally sorted bar any more dropouts . Initially Sam has had one dropout on his team , Hippy Dan has been replaced with Fran . (Not a bad replacement either I might add). Chris has pulled out leaving Jesse without a partner meaning that Jesse would play the single. I spoke to him on Monday and asked him whether he wanted to play that and he said no he wanted to play with a partner . The easiest thing to do was play Geoff and Jesse as a pair and Id offer to play the single against Jason and Neil potentially using Dan Ryans format that he mentions earlier in this thread to make it a fair match up. Id absolutely love to play with lloyd in a doubles match up but then that would leave the triple vs double as a ridiculously unbalanced match up . We have played that format at QP before and it really doesnt work . The doubles pair has to play ridiculously good golf to stand any chance of winning so Im very against splitting up what is potentially a really good match up .

So basically there has been no rejigging of the teams other than moving Geoff to play with Jesse as Jesse didnt want to play a single vs double matchup which is fair enough .

Exactly, to try to achieve as even a match up of teams and abilities this is harder to organise than any other tournament I've done, trust Sam and Tweed to get it right, everyone else just shsshhh.
