Fun Comp

Post by neil » Fri Oct 15, 2010 11:34 am

This post is purely to gage interest and receive comments and advice. Some of you may know that here in Harrogate the council has put in a short 9 in the local park and a couple of us here have wondered about putting on a Fun Comp which I hope will promote golf in the area. There are no details worked out as yet except for one, you will only be able to use a putter. There may be a small entry fee (it's possible that the council will want paying a little) but all money will be used for prizes. This will only be a one day event but maybe it could fill a gap in the Disc Golf calendar somewhere?? All feedback would be appreciated and welcomed so let me know what you think. :D

There are always free weekends!

I'm sure we could get at least a car load from QP together for a day out. Is it about 2 and a half hours to Harrogate?

I'd be happy to hop in a car with a couple of Qp'ers for a nice day trip :)

I'll happily join in if domestic arrangements allow.
Plus, I will also be able to take you as 'guests' to the Ashville course without anyone bothering you.
Let me know when might be good...

Is an Ace Race too ambitious for the Valley Gardens course?

I've been thinking that an Ace Race might be possible next year for Valley Gardens or Shrewsbury. For Harrogate I think you would want to make sure that the disc was going to be a putter! Also I think it would be good if some other event could be arranged on the other course for later in the day, as happened with playing Ript at Essex this year.

Also I would love to come up for a round any time. Will just depend on which weekend you pick really as I have a few Ultimate events coming up.
Hopefully I'll be up soon anyway house hunting in York.

I'd be up for something in H'gate - with enough notice I get to tie it to a visit to the in-laws. Everyone's a winner!
