GolfMagic Article

Post by bruce » Mon Mar 05, 2007 2:09 pm

Golf magic has written an article about disc golf and the British Open:
http://www.golfmagic.com/news/article/m ... 51/v/1/sp/

They've twisted my press release around pretty savagely, but hey-ho, it's a plug for DG.

Read the article ... defo a good plug for the sport to those who only know of the ball variety of the sport.
They include Christian Sandstrom, from Sweden, the current world-distance record holder (250 metres) and the reigning British Open champion and local challenger Fernando Brown, last year's highest placed Briton.
Am I miss reading this, but this sounds as if 'nando is reigning british open champion

I'm assuming its mean't to read 'and the reigning british open champion *breath* and local challenger Fernando ..' instead of 'and the reigning british open champion and local challender Fernando .. '

*whistles, runs and hides from the english grammer police*

No, I think you read it correctly. It's not what the press release said. I'm not sure the audience of GolfMagic.com will be too fussed, although Jester might have some issues!

I think the way West wrote that it should be read is the way it is intended. Christian Sanstrom is the World Distance Record holder and reigning BO Champ. I am a local challenger.

Definately could have been worded better though.
Frolf it up!!!!

tsk tsk Westy, poor show.

But not as poor as the punctuation in the article, that was really shocking.

Good responses from Andy and Del on the website
