Can any UK business list the Bdga as a business partner? Is there a cost and benefit package available to businesses so we can decide if this is an avenue we'd like to explore?
Thank You.
Thank You.

Re: Partners
Hey Seamus,
what would that mean, exactly?
The BDGA isn't a business itself so I don't know what it would mean for it to be a 'business partner'. Mind you, I don't really know what a 'business partner' is, anyway...
I think we're looking at the idea of having 'affiliated' or 'approved'* companies that the BDGA sends on interested parties towards, if that's what you mean?

Re: Partners
How does it work in the US Seamus?
Do the Disc Golf Companies (DGCs) become affiliated to the PDGA, like a trade association? Do the DGCs have to fulfil a certain level of qualities to become a PDGA recognised company that are then recommended as companies that are trusted to use?
If so do the DGCs then pay a annual subscription to support the supporter? What would they receive in return other than the "affiliated" badge?

Re: Partners
I imagine he's referring to a UK based Disc golf company listing the BDGA as "partners" alongside commercial partners on their homepage.
Were the BDGA aware this had happened?
If so was there a pre-approved agreement between the two parties or can we all do it?
If not aware - can we all do it or alternatively none of us do it?

Re: Partners
Great to see you're all spending so long looking at the Disc Zoo web site! It's only a staging web site while I work on the proper one over the coming weeks, so you'll have to excuse the odd hasty header that was put in. It was meant more as 'sporting partners' rather than the commercial type, plus, putting a nice logo might have encouraged people to click through to the BDGA site.

Re: Partners
All Members and Officers of the BDGA welcome traffic directed towards the BDGA, but staging site or otherwise, Nige, it's probably a good idea not to display the BDGA logo in a way that your site visitors could misconstrue as a business endorsement of DiscZoo (unless of course DiscZoo has BDGA endorsement which is what the question here seems to be about).

Re: Partners
What, indeed, is the question? ..I take that back, I don't want to know the question. Perhaps if the question was about the logo, it could have been addressed in a more mature and responsible manner than creating yet another forum thread mired in negativity.
Regardless, the logo has been removed to appease those who felt offended and/or disadvantaged by it so as to avoid any likelihood of this dragging on any further.

Re: Partners
I doubt anyone was offended or felt threatened. I'm personally just trying to see my way through the murky waters of the relationship the Bdga seems to have with your company.Nige wrote: Regardless, the logo has been removed to appease those who felt offended and/or disadvantaged by it so as to avoid any likelihood of this dragging on any further.]
If it is a partnership I wish you the best of fortune in growing your business.

Ok, so that seems to have sorted itself out... But now back to Seamus answer; what do they do and why doesn't it work?
