Hey all,

My name is Ryan and I live in Hereford. I haven't started Disc Golf yet but a friend of mine pointed me in the right direction. Really keen to make this my new hobby/sport as I'm looking at getting into something unusual, a little bit unheard of (in Herefordshire anyway) and something that I'll enjoy. I think this will tick all the boxes.

Does anyone know of any societies or clubs in Herefordshire as a simple online search doesn't reveal anything?

Hi Ryan,

you're in a bit of a blackspot unfortunately.

There is a group of very regular players that play in Stroud which is probably your closest contact - they are working on a permenent course but are currently playing to travellers - very welcoming and a good bunch to start playing with, everything is organised through Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/groups/strouddiscgolf/

There is a basketed 9 hole course in redditch about an hour from you, TBH though if you are coming up this way drive the extra 20 minutes to Quarry Park in Leamington Spa - best looked after course in the country with pro shop on hand and a great place to play. 20 minutes North is another great course in Bedworth.

Up the A49 Shrewsbury has a 12 hole course possibly to extend to 18 holes at Mereside, another good option with an active local club.

Those are about your best options at the moment although hopefulyl we will have some closer to you soon!

Errm seems I need to post here. Not sure why but I'm blaming Broster's interfering over the years with my account. It's Stoddy btw :D

Hmm, this could be an elaborate scam. If you are really Stoddy, what is his favourite food?

Easy lasagne, but to be specific MY lasagne. Oh and just about everything else, except bananas. Don't know why but I am not a fan.

Rules is rules, I guess. Stoddy, chocolate fudge cake or apple crumble and custard?
