Yes, Congrats, Dave! I should have said that earlier.

Well done done on your maiden win. I'm going to go out on a limb, I don't think this has ever been done before in the history of the Nationals.

Re: International Coordinator Report 2015-16

When will the BDGA International Coordinator position be up for renewal again? As a Board-appointed position, it would make sense that this is renewed annually, ideally shortly after the new Board has been voted in by the Members. That way the new Board can ask for interested parties to put themsel...

Re: BDGA Awards 2016

We've had some more great events this year, the scale which shows more and more that this is perhaps more accurately a 'Best Tournament' award. I didn't get to all of them, but thoughts on some I did attend: - Dunbar continues to go from strength to strength in providing one of the most demanading c...

Re: BDGA Tour #9 - Creeksea Place

I meant to send this ages ago: wow, what tournament! I don't think I've been to a first-event venue before where everything has been so well organised. Thanks to Emily for hosting, Phil for TDing and Sam and all the other helpers for doing such a great job. The course, while clearly young, was chall...

Re: BDGA Awards 2016

They are already up there but I nominate: Tom Lowes for Contribution - has made a massive contribution over the last few years behind the scenes as Secretary and this year become even more visible in running the BDGA, pushing through the new constitution and generally being a solid presence that's h...

Re: Nationals 2016 - Manchester Oct 29-30

Nationals organisers in Manchester, perhaps you can take a cue and share some event details please? If you've got a tournament invite that would be great. Players need to start planning their travel and accom etc. Thanks!

Re: Nationals 2016 - Manchester Oct 29-30

With qualification for the 2016 Nationals all but over it's not fair or possible to consider moving the goalposts on the tournament structure. This thread should be for tournament info about the 2016 event, so perhaps a Mod can move this discussion to the 'future tour structure' thread where ideas c...

Re: Inclusiveness

In defense of the Pdga it is not called the Adga. I recall at a European event about 15 years ago Paul Francz talking about the need for an International Disc Golf Association, as there was back then it felt like the various European country associations weren't really on the PDGA radar and they we...

Re: Inclusiveness

In sum, I think I see the appeal of your model as a 'free-market capitalism' model: let the players and their money decide where they want to play. However, it requires (like free-market capitalism) considerable de-regulation, so might be better with no overall points race and the BDGA stepping bac...

Re: Inclusiveness

I appreciate your question Andrew, I would like to see Mull, Loch Tay, Moray, Bluebell Woods and Burnlaw plus all on the rest of the 18 hole disc golf courses in the UK with a willing TD host one event per course, all holding the same value with the Bdga in 2017. If this happened the Bdga would sim...

Re: BDGA tour #10 Mendip Masters

To repeat myself for clarity - In no way am I complaining about this aspect. I think the £70 is excellent value for what you are getting, provided you are able to make use of the meals/Friday option etc. However, in my view - and this is probably the important difference - these additional extras a...

Re: BDGA tour #10 Mendip Masters

Compared to other events the cost isn't unreasonable to me. As a comparison if I go to Burnlaw I might pay around £25 entry, £12 breakfasts, £12 sat night curry and £10 camping. That's just shy of £60 already without Friday night food which would be another £10. £70 at Mendips therefore seems reason...
