BDGA member discount

Mull tournament entry fee was the same whether or not players were BDGA members. This was against tournament guidelines, and against BDGA rules, as far as I am aware. On a personal level, it also negates one of the incentives of joining the BDGA*. I joined the BDGA to support the sport, and aid in i...

Re: Points for debate...

Just three competition rounds over the weekend left some players feeling short changed, wanting that extra round to improve their scoring average after making the effort to come hundreds of miles for the tournament. Is there any ruling on the number of rounds that should be in a tourny? If a TD did...

British Open

Hi West,
We got together some stuff on the history of Beaminster, which is on the site, and will be in the press pack for the tournament.

As for a history of the open, i haven't tackled that, and am not aware of a Brit Open history, I'm afraid.

Any chance of putting an RSS icon on either the front page of the BDGA site or the forum site?

Just in case any random surfers find our site, if they see an RSS icon, they may just subscribe.

I can't take credit where it's not due

Hi all,
I didn't actually do the press for this one!

However, we did have a photographer up at the Stanton Moor tourney last weekend, and there was supposed to be an article in the Derby Evening Telegraph - haven't heard if it went in or not yet...

Does anyone need a lift to Beaminster from the Aylesbury area. We'll be leaving at lunchtime on Friday. Pete We should team up for tourneys in the future - unfortunately, i'm stopping over in Dorchester on Friday night, otherwise it would have been great to share lifts. See you at the weekend, Andy

Website feedback for the BDGA

Hi, I thought I'd offer some website feedback in time for your Board meeting this weekend: 1. THe new look site is great. 2. The forum is also great. But, the forum isn't used by many people at the moment (and I expect it will stay that way for some time). There seems only to be around 10-15 people ...

What are the odds of someone being available to show me around the course next tuesday? Do you mean show you round the Cotswolds course, or one of the Oxford courses? I assume you mean the Cotswold course, coz you surely know the Oxfordcity courses as much as you want to. I doubt I'll be able to ju...

Winter Doubles Matchplay; 5th February

Evening all, There's a Winter Doubles Matchplay tourny, organised by Oxdisc (ie, Bud's doing everything, and some of the rest of us tag along and make soup). Anyway, it's Sunday 5th Feb, a great warm up for Frostbreaker the following weekend. Where is it? East Leigh Sheep Bridge. Where the hell's th...

Events "close" to Scotland

Of course Essex deserves to be on the Tour as well as the BO, but isn't there anywhere else a wee bit nearer to bonnie Scotland that might plug the gap in March? Took us 14 hours to get home from the BO :!: :( There's also an event in the Peak District, at Stanton Moor, in March, being put together...
