Members, The BDGA Board are pleased to announce the appointment of Charlie Mead to the role of international co-ordinator. We feel the experience Charlie brings from running WFDF and his involvement in European disc golf over many decades makes him a valuable asset in our aim of moving the sport for...

Re: Tour format idea

if we only had 4 X 2 day tournaments, I wonder if that would be detrimental to those 4 tourneys. If you had to play all four to get your points rather than 4 from 8 or 10 events, I wonder if players that cannot make, say, 2 of those events might put them off attending the rest. It can be hard enough...

Re: BDGA Board Elections 2015

If you want to watch and listen we could try periscope. You would have to have a twitter account and you could interact on twitter or Facebook live. You can't talk but it's possible. Haven't tried it and as long as there's mobile reception and an appetite for the amount of work. I'm not doing it if ...

Re: BDGA Board Elections 2015

If that were to happen then we would need a venue with great wifi, room without distraction noise and a strict "one person at a time" policy. One would suspect that one or all are unworkable.

Re: BDGA Board Elections 2015

Unless Skype has changed ramatically I can't see how Skype is going to work. How do you get a sensible free flowing agm with input from everyone in attendance if you've got 50 people trying to butt in on Skype? periscope is for viewing only and I doubt if the reception would work anyway... And then ...

Re: BDGA Board Elections 2015

We could use periscope if there's any reception at qp... It would all depend if they have been upgraded... It used to be a vodafone blacks pot, not sure about other networks

Re: Facebook or Forum

The more I am investigating all sides of the FB and Forum, the more I begin to agree with both del and jester. However, the horse has definitely bolted with the next generation heading to FB in their billions! Therefore I am hoping to get to a happy and inclusive place where everyone can contribute....

Re: App Developers - an idea

It is possible that the Croydon App can be made into a similar App for any club. we have looked at the cost of this and you are looking at £500 for a club App. For that amazingly inexpensive price the club would need to provide all the content that would replace the croydon content. There would be n...
