Bruce... are you sick? You should have that cough of yours checked out? ;)

Oh! You were hinting at something, I get it now.

Will sort out my membership "sharpish".

From another chat board: I don't mind the 2-meter rule change or the unplayable lie... I DO think the lost disc rule has the possibility of being a nightmare. The WHOLE group has to go back and decide where the player threw from if it wasn't from the tee. How often is the whole group actually going ...

What are the odds of someone being available to show me around the course next tuesday?

I will be in the US for the doubles, but will be in Oxford on Tuesday.

Though it was worth a shot at least.

Quarry Park is probably the closest course to you. It is a nice course, and pretty beginner friendly.

Actually this here is from the 2004 BDGA Tour Guide: "3.4 Prize Giving It is required to award a prize to the tournament winner, the Am division winner and the Spirit of the Game winner." So unless anything has been done to change that, I would assume that Spirit of the Game is still a required prize.

Quote: Do we have to offer "Spirit of the Game"? Maybe. If it isn't actually mandatory, it's certainly strongly recommended. I may be mistaken, but I thought at one point the year before last the Board had made Spirit of the Game a mandatory prize. You should be able to look that up in the black no...

Scott -

Being in Chelmsford you will be closest to the course at the University of Essex. Check it out at http://www.essexdiscgolf.co.uk

There are usually some of us out playing every weekend. So while you are out here, we should be able to set something up so we can show you around.

I doubt it's still there, there has been a new local who likes to go wading and then keeps all the discs You still whining about that Tim? If that guy is getting down to his underwear, and wading in the lake at the temperatures it has been lately... He deserves to keep any disc he pulls out! It's l...

The Star plastic is Innovas new stuff. It is basically the same as the special blend plastic if you have thrown any of that. The special blend was only available as fundraiser discs up until now. It has the durability of Champion Plastic with the grip of Pro Line. I am looking forward to the Star Or...

So rumor has it that the Oxford crew may not be able to make it to the Winter Doubles, as Bud is having them over the night before. When will people learn to stay away from the happening party spot the night before an event! :)

I was checking one out the other day. I do have to say that it feels good in the hand. That big groove in it happens to be about the same distance from the edge as the dimple on my putter from me putting my thumb in the same spot day in and day out.

Point taken guys. So the BDGA Tour is the place to go for nice friendly golf. If you are in search of more serious competition, and the chance to play for more than bragging rights among your friends then you have the EuroTour or Nordic Tour events to go to (or I guess the PDGA EuroTour this year). ...

I don't know off-hand how much Quarry Park has cost me in total, but if I set against it all the income I have ever derived, I will still be more than £10k down.... The way I see it is that the money was invested in the business side of QP. That money is spent to have the course in good condition f...

I guess if there fees are flat (Int, Adv and Pro have same fees), then there's no harm in it, but I'm dubious that this will be the case. I certainly haven't seen any example of it happening anywhere else. This is exactly what I have been trying to say can be the case. This is what we did at the Es...

Just would like to mention that you obviously have not been paying too much attention to my posts Bruce. I was wondering why you rebuttles did not make much sense to me. Fixed %age for TD's, raise money for BDGA to buy baskets. Again, doesn't need payouts. If you want to raise money, whack tourney t...
