Regarding funding we do get paid coaching fees by our local council, however we put all the funding into buying discs and baskets. We have now got 5 baskets, 1 metal, 1 skillshot & 3 travellers, about 40 drivers, 30 of which are 150 gr, 30 odd putters, a couple of ultimate discs and about 30 aerobie...

bruce, cant do the highlight thing but I think you have hit it on the head ! I either do hockey at weekend, work or if I have time a round of disc golf, yet I still love playing. Myself and Soph have played about 6 rounds of disc golf outside the tournies this year. Thats why my game has got so bad ...

Myself and Soph have tried on numerous occasions to tap into the ultimate scene at Essex including doing freshers fiar etc, and have had little or no response even when a course is available locally. Have no idea why this is, possibly as not so 'active' as ultimate. We have got a large kids database...

Any news on the dinner front, if I can get off work (will find out today) and can come. I would like to make payment for myself and Soph in one go rather than two as Rich wants money up front for dinner. Even an over the top guestimate would do. :D

Actually found a bit of time between ships ! hehe ! Quite easy system to operate. Think last years Ams was like this ! 1. James Luton 93, (On countback with 5 event?) 2. Rick Rick 93, 3. Jed Farrell 90, 4. Neil Pickett 64.5, 5. Scott Fitz 42, 6. Dave Allicker 39, 7. Rich Wood 34, 8. Steve Broster 32...

Wondered if anybody has time on their hands to check last years tour results and see what a difference the F1 scoring system would have made last year ? Will give it a go when I have a bit of time but may be a while.

yep congrats Rich from both me & Soph. As for the course thought it was a good layout esp 1, perhaps drop zone after first shot, a bit further back. I thought 2 was good and went in bunker in two rounds, not as good as Jes ! :D Thought 5 did punish smaller thrower as watched Soph hurl miles over the...

Rich, sorry didnt make it clear. It hasnt mattered to us at all the size of the field, or coming top or bottom of the stats, the only true measure must be the pdga ratings. The stats only sort out an overall winner of open & ams for bdga purposes. The point I was trying to make that if a lowly adv a...

Having looked at the list compiled by Rich I really cant see a big difference, certainly in the AM,s. The top 6 are the same, the top two are in the same order, personally I really can,t see a problem with the system as it is. It does encourage people to attend and see if they can improve on their l...

James, obviously not studying maths ! Rich Wood has only got to finish in the top 4 or 5 to take the title. Soph has got to win and Rich to fail badly to hold on. I think the only other two with a small chance are Duncan Butcher & Phil Wood. Both would have to win and Rich & Soph both fail ! However...

Yes, went very well, did the short nine followed by the big 18 but very very windy. Lowest score I recall was from a 14 year old who shot a 79, (beat his teacher by 3 shots, who had been round before). Prizes were awarded at the end and all was good. Soph has had a class of girls up round the short ...

Thanks to Jess, Sue, Ivan etc for a great weekend despite the weather ! :D As for the food topic we purchased ours early friday morning and used a cool box which kept everything good and gave us what we wanted. We aren't too keen on some of the newer fillings on purchased rolls and I have a reaction...

Yes, he has been playing for a while but not in tournament play, he hasn't played for a while as he has had exams, but has shot up at least 6 inches since we saw him last. He is a lefty, I think they will have fun, perhaps they can all have a round together Sat evening if they haven't had enough by ...
