Hard drive crash!

ok, so 2009 has got off to a dodgy start - the hard drive on my home computer has crashed, so can you all use toby.green@oecd.org for registrations and correspondence for this year's Frostbreaker.

Thanks

and, yes, the course will be available to play on Friday.

One quarter of the field taken already

That's a cracking start to 2009. A dozen players have already signed up for Frostbreaker, including past champion Derek Robins. That leaves just 36 places to fill (and I know that another dozen are in the works, so, if you want to play, you'd better make your mind up very soon!

Juniors division takes shape

We've got three teenagers aged under 18 registered so if there are any more out there to take us to five we can have a real Juniors division! Come on, let's get some more youngsters registered! BTW - we're at 49 registered with some maybes as well, so we should be over 50 by this time next week. Can...

Jester's worried?

Tom Soper is coming, along with some other stragglers, so we're now at 48ish (some are maybe coming, maybe not).

Is Jester worried? Can't tell. But I will do my utmost to exhaust him on course prep work! (Just kidding).

Derek's not coming then?

It's July 11th and Ian Bell just failed to get a double ton.

Ok, with a few hours to go before the early-payment deadline closes, we're at 34 registrations. Three have suspiciously Swedish sounding names. One is a touring American. Another is coming from Mexico. And Del hasn't registered yet. Anyone else out there? I'm sure it'll have stopped raining by the e...

Where is everybody?

I've just totted up registrants to date and I can count 'em all on my fingers with some toes left over  - where is everybody? Still hung over from QP?

Come on, get your registrations in, and if you're quick, I'll turn a blind eye on the late registration fee. :D

If you want going backwards, how about this:

Edd Green: 68, 66 . . . 85!! Perhaps he was still upset by England's rugby and the rained off cricket in NZ but then again, Saturday night came between the 66 and 85.

but what about this,

James Luton: 80 to 63 to 76 - consistency, Not!

i'm out of here

that's it. I'm out of here. Forecast suggests zero snow in Dorset, but a frost seems a dead cert. Pray that Flybe's flight isn't cancelled or else you're going to be playing without a TD and scorecards. Got my ticket - check. Passport - check. I'm now about to go offline, urgent messages to Toby.gre...

And the forecast is: Whitcombe Frosty

I've just spoken to Dotty. Good news. Whitcombe is drying out nicely and aside from a big puddle near the dog kennel which sounds awkward, we should have no problems as long as we steer clear of the stream and dogs. javascript:emoticon ':D' The latest forecast I've seen (c/o BBC website) Friday nigh...
