iPOD found on Church Hill

An iPOD was lost on Church Hill - and then found! If anyone is missing their iPOD please let me know. Meanwhile, on a related subject, my musician brother has posted an article about downloading music on Prospect magazine's website and is inviting comments and responses. If you'd like to take part i...

Results

I've finally managed to get back to Paris. Dan left me at Southampton Airport at sparrow's this morning, but the plane was bust, so I had to wait for a new one to come from Leeds. Never mind, it was a great weekend - and thanks to you all who fought your way through snow, ice, wind, hail, rain etc e...

SNOW IS MELTING

4 pm update

The snow has stopped and is melting. The course is marked out (vertical tee markers for obvious reasons) and there's around 15 players out there! So, come on down!

see you later - drive carefully.

from snowy Whitcombe

ok - it's snowing, but it's wet snow. Matt arrived from Southampton this morning without any bother. The route in from Crewkerne is fine too. The farm is sopping wet, so car parking will be difficult. As far as possible, we'd like people to park in Beaminster. So, drop off your stuff here, then go b...

Nearly there

I'm almost on my way to UK, so don't bother to email my wanadoo account any longer, stick with toby.green@oecd.org. You could also call on +33 6 10 11 49 89. Latest count is 45 players. Depending on whether you believe in fairies or not, you can plan on there being blizzards (MetCheck) or a sunny, f...

Do I get to keep all the 2p and 2cents?

Not a bad idea - no provisionals, compulsory drop-zone.

Time to get serious

Everyone is getting very silly. There won't BE any snow at Whitcombe. It's called FROSTbreaker, not SNOWbunker. Anyway, time for some serious discussion. If we play Mega Bunny, I'd like to avoid the unwise and inexperienced from having to trudge all the way back to the tee when they can't find their...

Frostbreaker course suggestion

Same course as last year, then? With Metcheck forecasting nothing significant wind-wise, how about playing the same course as last year? For those with short memories, it went like this: Horror NoMads' Land Saunder's Back to Digitalis Fishy Digit Bowling's Hill Old Hypotenuse Spring Jump Under Dead ...

Breaking news

Breaking news: Si Luard to play at Frostbreaker. Guy's coming too. That means we have just four places to fill. and forget all that snow stuff. According to metcheck the cold snap loses its bite on Thursday and we might get a little rain on Sunday. It'll still feel cold, mind, so bring your thermals...

back on line

I'm delighted to announce that my computer has a shiny new hard drive and the fabulous Time Machine back up thingy has restored everything (except, of course, the players' list which was the only thing I was working on when the old drive went tits-up). So, no Westy, I can't post a list right now and...

Half-way there

Two dozen registrants to date, so we're half-way to filling up the 48 places. Don't leave it too late and risk being
