Re: hello from bristol

Morning, I'm also based in Bristol (Well South Bristol), I can highly recommend the Mendip course as mentioned by Mark and also agree that Matt or Sam up at Mendip are helpful, friendly and talented guys if you were looking for some contacts and grab disc advice etc. Hope to see you around Mendip so...

Ah ok thanks Mark.

Is the 'Not the top 16' event well attended? Seems like it would be.

Sounds like it is worth sharing?!

Also another silly question, why does the format change for this one event?

Re: British Nationals?

Hi Adz, The Matchplay event and the nationals are one and the same. The top 16 compete in the Nationals match play event and alongside that is the Not the top 16 competition. This year the Nationals event will be held at Mount Edgecombe in Plymouth on weekend of 24/25th October. Phil Hi Phil, Thank...

British Nationals?

Morning all, Apologies if this is a stupid question.... I was just wondering if there was a British Nationals at the end of each season? I can see the matchplay competition but couldn't find anything in relation to a big British Nationals competition? I've just started out and would love the opportu...

Any Used Discs for Sale?

Good morning all, I've been playing for around a month now and have a grand total of 4/5 discs. I have spoken with a few people who have some used discs for sale and was wondering if anyone else also had some they wouldn't mind re-homing so someone new can throw them into bushes/trees and lakes?! Ha...

Yes I'm pretty sure I do have some beginner friendly stuff knocking around. As yet I haven't managed to go through everything and make a new list, but I'll try and do that soon and get it on here.

Thanks Jester, really appreciate it :)

Re: Jester's Disc Clearance

Hi Jester,

Have you got anything relatively beginner friendly?

I only have about 4 discs so need to increase my selection etc and generally get a feel for other discs.

Thanks

Re: Tom's disc clearance

Hi Tom,

Excuse the newbie question, are any still remaining and if so are any suitable for new (ish) players?

I have some discs already but would like some more to get a better feel for things.

Thanks

Re: Technique tips and hints

Hi rhatton1, I did rather sneakily read these yesterday in work and then proceeded to have the worst round ever in wet and windy conditions. I live around Bristol and have been playing on the Mendip course, I also went once round the course at Ashton Court. I tend to throw the Katana much higher tha...

Re: Technique tips and hints

Hi guys, Sorry to kinda leap on this about 5 years after the last post, however i just wanted to say that this has been extremely useful to me (Sat at my desk in work), not saying it will translate to on the course success but it feels like it should. I have been playing for around a month and have ...

Re: Good morning all

Hi Bruce,

That is a fantastic help, thank you! :)

I will do some reading over my lunch.

I was aware that I would go into recreational but wasn't sure how things developed from there.

Appreciate the help :)

Re: Good morning all

Also (and totally unrelated to the 3 x post rule :P) Can someone break down the different classes for me? I'm aware from reading bits and pieces like the results board for the current 2015 tour that there are a few different classes (Pro, Am etc?) I just wanted to be clear before accidently entering...

Good morning all

Morning all,

I'm new here, just started playing Disc Golf about a month ago, getting into the habit of hunting for discs in heavy rough.

Haven't lost any yet :)

Anyway just wanted to say Hi

Thanks
