Re: Partners

What, indeed, is the question? ..I take that back, I don't want to know the question. Perhaps if the question was about the logo, it could have been addressed in a more mature and responsible manner than creating yet another forum thread mired in negativity. Regardless, the logo has been removed to ...

Re: Partners

Great to see you're all spending so long looking at the Disc Zoo web site! It's only a staging web site while I work on the proper one over the coming weeks, so you'll have to excuse the odd hasty header that was put in. It was meant more as 'sporting partners' rather than the commercial type, plus,...

Re: Development Committee

I've had some very positive contacts recently through the current system. I'm not saying it's perfect, it might just be that the interested parties felt that Disc Zoo could provide them with the best service and equipment?

Re: Conflict of interest policy

It wasn't you I was getting the negative waves from, Bruce. With regards the web site, yeah, it's in a shocking state. I'll build it, and I'll do a good job, but I need the materials to do it. There's a very small team of volunteers working on the incredibly difficult task of collating and generatin...

Re: Conflict of interest policy

Disc Zoo's recent activities have been done with an open heart and with a clear conscience. There is no secret plan to gain a competitive advantage through any channel, there is no hidden agenda, there is no intention to breed mistrust amongst other concerned parties. We are only seeking to do thing...

Re: Team Disc Zoo

I thought you were serious about that Death Star model... it would have been so much simpler if you hadn't been adamant about it being 1:1 scale! What wonderful music for a Monday morning :) That's well and truly stuck in my head for the day. The initial trials of Giraffe onesies and rubber crocodil...

Re: BDGA Board Elections 2015

Dipping my oar in the water here for #3. Absolutely. The current site is an unfortunate consequence of the previous site being hacked, and a 'temporary' site being launched based on a default template as an emergency measure. There was a call for ideas, opinions, feedback on a new test site that was...

Re: BDGA Website

I'm more than happy for oars to be dipped and toes to be trodden. The web site's on the to-do list... There's a grand plan to integrate the forum with the BDGA site, then customising it with membership details so there's a proper centralised database of players. All forum users will have a web site ...

Re: Pop up ads

Fingers crossed this time....! There's a few different scripts on the BDGA site, most of which have now been updated to the latest versions, so here's hoping it 's finally fixed! I think the feed address may have moved, too - it's now at http://bdga.org.uk/forum/feed.php for those who need it. Enjoy...

Site's now back up and running in a slightly vanilla fashion. Thanks to Jon for sorting things while I was chucking plastic in the Himalayas :D Looks like the issue was arising from the Joomla install, which is now updated to the latest stable version - as Jon alluded to, that's no quick and easy jo...

The site was restored from a backup last night, so it's fixed for now. Expect sections of the site to go down for some time later today/tomorrow as I upgrade things.

If it happens again, get firefox and noscript while I'm fixing it

Well, thought we'd go for some discs that people want to throw! Numbers are in: DX: £10 Pro: £12 Champion: £14 Star: £15 Discraft prices will be the same for equivalent plastics. Ooh, and you get a free sticker with the Echo Star discs (technically, the sticker is already on the disc, but hey)
