Re: BDGA Tour 8 - Whitcombe Classic July 20/21

Payment is in the airwaves as I write..... Really looking forward to a summer whitcombe! I was wondering if by any chance camping on the Sunday night was an option ?
And also are we to enter the camping field via the main drive or the lower entrance?

Whatever tough lie they find themselves in Tweed should be able to find a way back to the basket with his array of shots, Speaking of tough lies, you should ask Tweedy about some of his adventures on hole 2 some time. Tweedy - did you ever get that Champion Eagle back again? Ah, Champ Eagle. Brilli...

Re: Development Ideas

I think we should definitely offer the five year deal again, no discount though. By taking the deal you insure yourself against future Pdga & Bdga rises.... Also, unfortunately the Bdga account does not earn interest. It is however free. There are alternative business accounts out there that pay int...

I agree with Hatton. There are pros and cons of course but this is all speculation what we need is someone to actually go out and do it

Re: The scoring system debate (again)

We were giving a bigger bonus as it was kind to the PDGA = bonus theory, If the bonus is smaller then it means a win at Croydon is more like three times more valuable than a win at Burnlaw! As far as i see it's all about Quality not Quantity. All things being equal beating 29 people would be worth m...

Re: The scoring system debate (again)

Ok, lets assume that nobody has ever played a 5th or 6th event because it have them the opportunity to drop a poor result or two. Or chosen which event they will attend based on the propensity to accumulate points Let's look instead at a couple of situations from this years tour and apply the potent...

Re: The scoring system debate (again)

I'm personally also against the PDGA scoring system, if you are playing at the top of the division, again you are getting extra points for beating people you were, lets face it, going to beat anyway. Why should that raise the reward when you could beat the same five people of your own standard at e...

Re: The scoring system debate (again)

I wouldn't recomend losing the top four results rule in all scoring systems, I just think the F1 scoring system particularly lends itself to more of a full race I do agree with Jester, we need to encourage more people to join the sport and play in events not force the few players we have to play in ...
