Re: BDGA Tour #4 - James T Kirk Open - Mt. Edgcumbe, Cornwal
Possibly, is that the one on the front of the BDGA site? If so it could really do with some additional filtering options as it's currently swamped by club events, not that those are in any way a bad thing. I think Tour event invitations should probably go out to the BDGA membership email list?

Agreed, it's a bit of a nightmare trying to keep up with all the posting options, even on Facebook there are now way too many different ways to post stuff. I struggled to find the invite via FB :( Probably deserves it's own discussion on standard communication routes for BDGA Tour events otherwise I...

Re: BDGA#11 - Burnlaw Battle for Bertha - 4th/5th October
Anyone know why my round 1 at Burnlaw is showing as 75 on the PDGA unofficial results?!?!
I know it wasn't great but I'm pretty sure it wasn't 75.
Also no Amstats?

The advantage with this way is that it keeps the group moving forwards.

Re: My USDGC experience
Play from your lie at a 1 shot penalty. Means you don't need to know where the disc entered the hazard/ob.
Might fit the risk/reward curve better for some holes than just having a set dropzone?
(Think it replaced the previous rule of play from your /previous/ lie at no penalty)

Re: My USDGC experience
Any comments on the Hazard rule? Looks like it might be a really good way to set up holes in large fields, e.g. 9 at Croydon or new 14/15 at Burnlaw where if there was a continuous OB line it would be difficult to really know where you have crossed without several spotters. There are a couple of hol...

Re: BDGA#11 - Burnlaw Battle for Bertha - 4th/5th October
Thanks Chris, apologies that it seems I am only making negative comments, I didn't mean to ti just turned out that way. Personally I don't give a stuff what the rule is on that hole, I just remember how much of an issue it became at Essex and don't want all that hassle falling on you. I agree that i...

Re: BDGA#11 - Burnlaw Battle for Bertha - 4th/5th October
Agree with Jester, I thought last time that we played hitting the temple wasn't a penalty? Gotta think that the correct solution is to extend the OB area further out around the temple so that a shot that hits is probably going to be OB, or possibly better, add a Mando front right of the temple as I ...

From Chris' other comments I'm guessing we will lose 17 anyway soon. Shame, it's a beautiful short hole.

Re: BDGA#11 - Burnlaw Battle for Bertha - 4th/5th October
Some interestong changes from the traditional layot. Not sure about new 4 which seems to remove most of the danger for anyone with a big drive whilst making the hole one shot longer for everyone else? Similar with 1, no danger removed but payoff now for just going as long as possible over the wall a...

Re: BDGA#11 - Burnlaw Battle for Bertha - 4th/5th October
Chris, just to be awkward, would one of the inside rooms be available for two and would we be able to bring the dog? Louise would like to come but there is a race meeting on and so no B&B available within about 30 miles of Hexham by the looks of it

Have only just been able to sort our registration for this.
Have asked for a bunk bed, anyone know if this is likely to be available?

Re: BDGA Tour 2014
Well done for organising Phil.
Unfortunately there is no way I can make that long a journey with no holiday left. Good luck to everyone who gets there. If you've never played there before and you can get there you are in for a treat.

Re: players in the cambridge area
Hi Vincent, I'm in York so don't get over too regularily, Neil Halton is the most active player in Harrogate and uaually up for a round at Ashfield School. He really needs one or two other regulars and then we can begin to build some momentum in Yorkshire. There is a Facebook Page here https://www.f...
