Re: Nationals 2014 - Whitcombe 25/26th Oct

Hello. Just to say that I will be at Whitcombe next weekend (I'll be attempting to ping a few pheasants at Coombe Down) and look forward to dining with you on Saturday. I'm very touched that Nationals will also be a fundraiser for FODAD - some of you may be amused to see this http://m.youtube.com/wa...

Re: BDGA Tour 8 - Whitcombe Classic July 20/21

TD's Afterword: Firstly, many thanks to you all for making the 2013 a vintage Classic, we thoroughly enjoyed it and I think it was one of the best. Thank you also for leaving the campsite and course spotless - I didn't have to pick up anything! You raised 585 pounds to Fodad, which will grow with Gi...

Re: BDGA Tour 8 - Whitcombe Classic July 20/21

THURSDAY - The course is almost ready! Signs are out, strimming mainly done, still need to get the topper out. The sheep are shorn and tucked away in Bunny Valley. Even the loos have arrived! So, all we really need now is to go shopping for food and welcome you all. Holes: 1. Muffins (to a new baske...

Re: BDGA Tour 8 - Whitcombe Classic July 20/21

TUESDAY Spent two hours pre-breakfast strimming this morning, while it was still lovely and cool. Next excitment is the news that the shearers ARE coming tomorrow, so we'll be rounding up the sheep later and building pens. The sheep have done an excellent job preparing the course, the grass is nice ...

Re: BDGA Tour 8 - Whitcombe Classic July 20/21

I'm working on it (course map). Trying to plan for as many holes under trees as I can to keep you lot out of the sun ('cos it is HOT!). There's also the sheep to plan around (we're waiting for the shearers!), long grass and a foal! It is coming together, honest . . . CAMPING - will be in the Orchard...

Re: BDGA Tour 8 - Whitcombe Classic July 20/21

Hooray, that's two dozen players registered! (I was getting worried that no-one wanted to challenge the hills of Whitcombe! :) ) Lots of new names, which is brilliant, but plenty of the golden oldies yet to register. You coming??

Re: BDGA Tour 8 - Whitcombe Classic July 20/21

Just checked the spreadsheet to find everything lost! Something weird happened in June 19th to erase all the data, so I've restored it back to June 18th. If you registered on or after June 18th, please check and if necessary re-register. Sorry about this!

Re: BDGA#2 FROSTBREAKER!! Registration Open- 23/24th Feb

Frostbreaker CANCELLED For the first time since we launched this tournament (was it 1989?) I'm afraid the weather has beaten us - we're going to have to cancel Frostbreaker. The problem is water - far too much water. The farm is waterlogged and with more rain forecast and no sign of a long spell of ...

err, earth to disc golfers, I know it is snowing round about and even crisp and even (as well as in France) but that's no excuse for not registering for Frostbreaker. So far, we're ten . . . come on, get Survey Monkeying www.surveymonkey.com/s/W9THCB8 !! or the snow will never thaw.

BDGA#2 FROSTBREAKER!! CANCELLED due to waterlogged cource

Yeah. Now that the rain has stopped and it's nice'n'frosty, it's time to open registration for the nth Frostbreaker (where n is a large number and I'm so old I've forgotten how many we've had). You can register here http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/W9THCB8 - yes, a cool new way to register - on Survey ...

Re: BDGA Tour #1 - Frostbreaker 2012 - Feb 4/5th

isn't it bliss to be offline for a day or two? missed all this exciting chatter and now, with most of you on your way and therefore offline, you'll not know that we're playing the same course as last year, but with two changes: Goolalong is unplayable (well, to be more honest I couldn't be arsed to ...

That's thirty-two registrants including three Americans, one Scot, a perfidy of Englishmen and one don't know.
