Disc Golf During The New Lockdown

Since new lockdown restrictions came into force in England on November 5th, although exercising with one other person is still allowed, it has been a little unclear whether disc golf can continue. There is a clear statement that golf courses must close, so given that this is our closest comparison, we regretfully state that disc golf should not be played using basketed courses – whether private or public – until lockdown conditions ease.

In Wales, the current lockdown restrictions allow sports and leisure facilities to open and groups of up to 4 can gather for casual play. Up to 30 people can attend an organised event if proper precautions are followed – see more detail here:

Scotland currently has a local tiers policy in place, so what you can do will depend upon which area you’re in:

For Northern Ireland, “outdoor non-contact sport is permitted at non-elite level,¬†with a limit of 15 people. Public health advice should be followed.”
