Side by side with the best players in Europe will be the Mull Classic Divisional Championships for GB residents – including our commitment to developing children’s and adult recreational disc golf.

Evening! Sorry I don't understand the new membership arrangements. I have paid up £10 and £5 for BDGA membership for me and Ned respectively. Do I now also need to renew PDGA membership in order to compete at Mull? Thanks

Hi Jonny,

BDGA and PDGA membership are now completely separate.

As Mull is a B-tier PDGA tournament you also need PDGA membership to register. (Although I'm guessing if you enter the 'parallel' non-EuroTour event, then you won't need PDGA membership)

Hi Nige. Can you outline what the differences will be between the 'parallel' event and the EuroTour event? Just trying to work out the value of the greater fee in entering the latter. Thanks

Good point. Will the EuroTour divisions also be available in the BDGA event? Or is there no overlap?

I can't seem to find that info anywhere, Mark. Where have you come by it please?

Also those look like the fees for the Eurotour event. I'd like to know the fee for the regular Mull event if someone can direct me please?

I guess the separate event info is mentioned below:

Should you belong to a division that is not part of the Euro Tour –FPM, MA2, FA2,MA3,FA3, MJ2, FJ1, FJ2, MJ3, FJ3, for example – your place will still be guaranteed in that division and you will compete with others in that division for the Mull Classic Trophies and prizes.

All players of all divisions will compete within the Euro Tour format and PDGA Rules of Competition, but only those in the 8 approved divisions will be eligible for Euro Tour points and awards.

If you are not included in the Euro Tour Registration process contact us by January 1st 2017 with the following details:

Lunch – Sat and Sun (yes or No)
Camping – How many nights
BDGA membership number
PDGA membership number
Full name
Nationality
Division: MPO, FPO, MPM, MPG, MPS, MA1, FA1, MJ1
Hyzer Cup Champions 09/10, 10/11, 11/12, 12/13

Thanks for the help, Mark.

Nige - how much does it cost to play please in the 'normal' mull event, not the EuroTour? Can you direct us to a location that makes this clear? Thanks.

Jester, its right at the bottom of the invite, but not sure it is that clear.... it starts by saying "If you are not in any of these divisions (MPO, FPO, MPM, MPG, MPS, MA1, FA1, MJ1) "
but what if we are....
As I read it it will cost £35 + £7 per day for lunch, then £5!! if you want in on the Ace pot.

out of interest is this the same ace pot regardless of Euro/BDGA entry?

And do we still need to register through the PDGA Euro form or is there another for BDGA entry?

I'll be registering for this. Just wondering about transport, and whether to drive or get a lift. I'll be staying at the bunkhouse. Anybody else looking to consolidate on car travel?

Saturday night Dinner on Mull
The best Curry the Island has to Offer.

OPT OUT NOT OPT IN!

Mull has some excellent Restaurants and Pubs to eat in but they are small and expensive on a Saturday night. So we have engaged the services of Jane Gordon-Chauvet to provide the best curry on the island for the evening of 15th April. For those who have experienced the Burnlaw Disc Golf Equinox Curry Night you will know what to expect - not just great food but a great social experience as well!

For Mull, Jane is offering a full curry menu for £12. This will be held at Tigh-Na-Cora - about a mile and a half from the course at Fanmore - and the home of Guy Luard, Jane and family.

In order to prepare for the meal PLEASE only contact us if you DO NOT WANT to have this experience or WANT TO ADD family and friends to the guest list. Assume that if you are playing you are on the Guest list. Bring your own drinks, music, juggling tricks and dance moves!.

All transport and Parking arrangements will be discussed at Registration and Players meeting.

I'm still looking to consolidate on travel to Mull. My preference is to set off from Warwickshire on Thursday and either travel all the way to Mull that day or stop the night somewhere en route. I'd prefer to share driving.

So, just 15 pro players :(
The PDGA has guidelines for not having conflicting tournaments, but here Charlie has sabotaged his own event. I can understand having a rec division running alongside, in order to bring in extra players who really aren't appropriate for eurotour, but this has not worked out well. Jester is the sole entrant in Masters while 11 other Masters play in a separate event. Presumably he does at least get 1/15th of the Pro prize pot of 2000 euros, so 133 euros and a trophy, but that's a hollow victory.
By the way I'll be getting the 5pm ferry from Oban tomorrow, along with Paul Holden and a scoreport. Heading to Tobermory for Thursday night. See you all there!
