Looks like a great idea, Matt. What performance flight scoring method are you using?

Hi Matt

Just to clarify, are you running the entire event as Performance scoring a la USDGC previously, or are you running the Performance scoring alongside a regular stroke play format for allocating the wildcards and vouchers?

If the former (and you may have already checked this), I think you might have to run it as an X-tier rather than C, I think C-tier assumes you'll report the scores and allocate trophies as regular stroke play.

Academic question for me as I can't make it anyway :(

regular strokeplay, wildcard spots by performance.

handicap based on previous results from ashton court with 53.75 working out at 1000 rated or scratch. each stroke equates to approximately 9 points. I have then weighted the handicap to 0.8 so the higher the handicap the more under your handicap you have to play.

to limit the problem of an 800 player being very easily to go 3 under their projection compared to a 950 player, I am operating 4 divisions, 935+, 900-935, 850-900 and below 850. there will be a best performance in each of these ratings boundaries.

as a quick summary projected scores for 4 rounds are looking like; for the par 60 ashton court course; with corresponding ratings

215 1000
219 989
227 967
235 943
243 920
251 897
259 874
267 851
279 816
